Welcome to the next chapter of the preparation for my Australia overlanding expedition in my trusty Troopy (Toyota LandCruiser GXL 70 series, 78 model Troop Carrier) NEILA.
This is the run down of the interior, why I've chosen what I've chosen, including the hot water system, fridge, joinery and storage spaces and more.
I feel I'm prepared...probably too prepared. However it will be my home for the next few years so I wanted to ensure I start with a really solid foundation that should last me throughout the years.
Let me know your thoughts!

/// ABOUT ME ///
Hey, I'm Sorelle! For the past 14 years, I've been a nomad, spending 8 years as a digital nomad and exploring 60 countries. My journey to achieving location independence began at 19 and became a reality at 28. In 2017, I won the Best Job on the Planet, traveling to 12 luxurious homes worldwide. My business journey started with self-portraiture, pioneering the Advanced Selfie, and teaching over 10,000 individuals. I've mentored 65,000 students on mastering their online presence. At 33, I retired, becoming a millionaire by 30 through strategic investments. After a challenging romantic and business separation at 34, I rediscovered my passion for teaching and wealth building. Now at 35, I'm exploring Australia in my car, NEILA, and guiding others to become free humans.

you could put a valve at the base of the shower hose on a tee where it connects to the unit and then put a hose through the base of the troopy floor, just open the valve up once you've finished using it. You can also get a tent extension and fly screen custom made for the back of Troopies, it gives you the ability to cook without getting hammered by flies or mozzies.

That’s exactly right that the build never ends and you’re constantly tinkering. Once you’ve figured out a way to resolve the shower leaking issues, I reckon hit the road for a few weeks, all different types of locations. See what it’s like to actually live in Neila and tinker a bit more…. Then go again for a few weeks. Rinse and repeat and I think by then you will feel more at ease with the set up, the homely aesthetics will come too ❤ I’m so freaking excited for you

You can also consider and look into sprouts and micro green for off grid times and all times actually. They are super nutritious. There a lots of options and easy to grow. Sprouts are ready in only a couple of days. Options such as alfa alfa, radish, broccoli, moong beans, red lentils, pea shoots, sunflower greens and on and on and on basically.

Congrats! Enjoy your time with her and all that comes your way, the good and I feel especially the bad. You learn so much on those trips that don’t go the way you intended or overcoming unforeseen problems. Those are the moment I cherish and remember the most, even more then those picture perfect times. Also Such an amazing feeling when you get to that place of unconnecting and connect to what really matters. Where you can see a bit ahead of your time and space and just feel you are meant to be in that moment. Much love to you and your journey !❤

Regards your shower issue, have a look at AusJ's (same company as your Duoetto water heater) for their 'EZY RV Exterior Shower Outlet'. I have it on my Troopy and if you are okay with putting another hole in the exterior of the body panel, it will fix the water leaking issue and its a perfect solution for showering and conserving your water.

That's a pretty cool build. I like the bat wing awning. Not seen one like that before. You could have a small one to hang a shower curtain from. Maybe ? As I'm just getting my day going, on the other side of the world, you must be getting ready to hit the hay. It's also coming to the end of summer here, so you must be heading into summer. I hope it doesnt get stupidly hot in there for you. No shortage of solar energy though :) Maybe you could have all the shower stuff completely sealed and self contained, with a drain to the outside ?

Sorelle for the cushions I would suggest to find something that has beige and grey in it, as well as another colour to give it some life. That way you pull together the colours you already have inside, a simple pattern like fine lines, dots, symmetrical, will work... Great build, congrats!

It will never be done! I enjoy the continual change and improvements. Could you stop the water dripping inside if you made a drip loop in the hose and had the hose reaching outside the car. Suction cup or 3m tape a bracket outside the car to hold shower head?
@antoniocrespo4441
@antoniocrespo4441 2 ай бұрын
If the shower leaks stil, you should try to add a small drain hose or something that essentially carries any water to the bottom of the car. Like make a mini shelf that has a drainage hose where you could hang the shower head and put your toiletries in

the design is smart and looks great. you wanna be minimal there- caus you need to clean often - with a good vacum that can reach little nocks dont feel you have to feel it. mold and stuff- you wanna air the car as much with windows open, also check about fans and air circling from outside when car is on. btw mold usually wont spread after you washed a cloth with mold- its just a stain! put a cloth or something where food is caus it would start making a mess, this way you can wash the cloth and not clean all the time. on the bench/bad i would put a good smart foamy foldable this mattress fit to size, you dont wanna rustle with pillow. and in general you dont wanna rustle with extra clutter - caus it would wear you out quickly

Hi Sorelle looks great an idea on the shower hose could be a quick coupler similar to whats used on air systems if you get the right type both sides should auto seal so youd just dissconect and hold the bottom of the hose up to drain out the shower head!

Just a thought. If you are going to shower outside, is it possible to house all your showering components into a tub of some type and just pull the whole thing out and use when you want to shower? Suction cup type device placed on the side of Neila when you want to have the shower wand secured above your head? Not sure how you would have it connected to your water source but might be able to figure out a solution for that. Beautiful build. I am looking forward to the coming adventures.

I'm glad to see you are still upbeat and happy, you really tricked that thing out , I like the canopy /umbrella, whatever that is. The shower I would have to see and maybe play with it and think about it to know what is best to keep it from leaking or getting things wet, I don't have a shower in my truck, I have been looking at car haulers thinking about building a multipurpose trailer for hauling and camping, beating the high price of motels if I want to go somewhere. Do you have any gold panning or opal hunts planned? Keep on smiling and being happy, it's good for you.

I'd put shower system in back of van. Maybe removable? Then when needed, ' shower box' comes out? I've seen so many types of camp showers, and I always found the types that are mobile and can be hung anywhere to be the best. What is your water source? How much water storage do you have, or do you need to hook up to spigot?
@SorelleAmore

Yeah, I like the removable option too to be honest. I have 140L, so it’s pretty good. And just need to find water anywhere there is a tap. So that’s pretty doable :)
