you could put a valve at the base of the shower hose on a tee where it connects to the unit and then put a hose through the base of the troopy floor, just open the valve up once you've finished using it. You can also get a tent extension and fly screen custom made for the back of Troopies, it gives you the ability to cook without getting hammered by flies or mozzies.

That’s exactly right that the build never ends and you’re constantly tinkering. Once you’ve figured out a way to resolve the shower leaking issues, I reckon hit the road for a few weeks, all different types of locations. See what it’s like to actually live in Neila and tinker a bit more…. Then go again for a few weeks. Rinse and repeat and I think by then you will feel more at ease with the set up, the homely aesthetics will come too ❤ I’m so freaking excited for you

You learn so much on those trips that don’t go the way you intended or overcoming unforeseen problems. Those are the moment I cherish and remember the most, even more then those picture perfect times. Also Such an amazing feeling when you get to that place of unconnecting and connect to what really matters. Where you can see a bit ahead of your time and space and just feel you are meant to be in that moment. Much love to you and your journey !❤

Sorelle for the cushions I would suggest to find something that has beige and grey in it, as well as another colour to give it some life. That way you pull together the colours you already have inside, a simple pattern like fine lines, dots, symmetrical, will work... Great build, congrats!

Regards your shower issue, have a look at AusJ's (same company as your Duoetto water heater) for their 'EZY RV Exterior Shower Outlet'. I have it on my Troopy and if you are okay with putting another hole in the exterior of the body panel, it will fix the water leaking issue and its a perfect solution for showering and conserving your water.

Hi Sorelle looks great an idea on the shower hose could be a quick coupler similar to whats used on air systems if you get the right type both sides should auto seal so youd just dissconect and hold the bottom of the hose up to drain out the shower head!
@herenow28954 ай бұрын
That's a pretty cool build. I like the bat wing awning. Not seen one like that before. You could have a small one to hang a shower curtain from. Maybe ? As I'm just getting my day going, on the other side of the world, you must be getting ready to hit the hay. It's also coming to the end of summer here, so you must be heading into summer. I hope it doesnt get stupidly hot in there for you. No shortage of solar energy though :) Maybe you could have all the shower stuff completely sealed and self contained, with a drain to the outside ?

If the shower leaks stil, you should try to add a small drain hose or something that essentially carries any water to the bottom of the car. Like make a mini shelf that has a drainage hose where you could hang the shower head and put your toiletries in

the design is smart and looks great. you wanna be minimal there- caus you need to clean often - with a good vacum that can reach little nocks dont feel you have to feel it. mold and stuff- you wanna air the car as much with windows open, also check about fans and air circling from outside when car is on. btw mold usually wont spread after you washed a cloth with mold- its just a stain! put a cloth or something where food is caus it would start making a mess, this way you can wash the cloth and not clean all the time. on the bench/bad i would put a good smart foamy foldable this mattress fit to size, you dont wanna rustle with pillow. and in general you dont wanna rustle with extra clutter - caus it would wear you out quickly

I'm glad to see you are still upbeat and happy, you really tricked that thing out , I like the canopy /umbrella, whatever that is. The shower I would have to see and maybe play with it and think about it to know what is best to keep it from leaking or getting things wet, I don't have a shower in my truck, I have been looking at car haulers thinking about building a multipurpose trailer for hauling and camping, beating the high price of motels if I want to go somewhere. Do you have any gold panning or opal hunts planned? Keep on smiling and being happy, it's good for you.

You can get shower head ‘T’ that have toggle valves on them so you can either cut the water off or re-direct it to a different line Other than that one learns how to swap out gaskets (that was one of my shipboard jobs -swapping out shower gaskets)

Just a thought. If you are going to shower outside, is it possible to house all your showering components into a tub of some type and just pull the whole thing out and use when you want to shower? Suction cup type device placed on the side of Neila when you want to have the shower wand secured above your head? Not sure how you would have it connected to your water source but might be able to figure out a solution for that. Beautiful build. I am looking forward to the coming adventures.

I'd put shower system in back of van. Maybe removable? Then when needed, ' shower box' comes out? I've seen so many types of camp showers, and I always found the types that are mobile and can be hung anywhere to be the best. What is your water source? How much water storage do you have, or do you need to hook up to spigot?

Yeah, I like the removable option too to be honest. I have 140L, so it’s pretty good. And just need to find water anywhere there is a tap. So that’s pretty doable :)
