I got lost on an Australian beach once.... Parked the car, long empty beach, go for a long walk, turn round, come back, and don't know where the path is, through the woodland, back to the car........ Didn't know if I'd not got there yet, or gone past it....... It was hot, I'd got some water, but not enough. I'd been in the county a couple of weeks As it turned out, everything was fine, I was where I thought I was, and I was in nowhere near the danger I thought I was, but I was sweating a fair bit by the time I found the path......... Taught me a really good lesson in being more careful, and knowing the way back in places like that. I was more used to terrain with distinct features, not a tiny path across dunes, and into the jungle.........

I have just come across your channel and love your style and energy. I’m also from Sydney but lived around the world doing corporate work all of my life when I woke one morning in March 2022 and decided not to work again as there is just too much to do and see and not a lot of time. I’m now in my LC200 about to embark on a really slow and fulfilling journey of the east coast to begin, with no timeline and will not be documenting other than through photos. Thank you 🙏 and fill your soul with the smells, sights and sounds of this great land !

Damn im at the same crossroads in life. Lived in Sydney all my life, a slave to the corporate world for the last 30 years, and never feel more at peace than when im away from the rat race. I have the car (LC105) completely set up to live off grid, kids all moved on but just need to find the courage to follow my dream.

Any advice on how to overcome any fears of traveling in this way alone as a female? I did a solo trip in a national park in my home state once a couple years back and was on high alert the entire time. I was able to relax and enjoy my surroundings but was more cautious being solo. Your travel content always inspires. Thank you!

Been seeing your self portraits over the years on Instagram (hello fellow selfie artist! 🥰), and now KZbin decided to bring your videos to my attention today - I’m so glad it did! Ahhhh. I love what you say about not feeling the need to talk so much lately to the camera… and being okay with that, letting nature speak. I’ve been feeling the same way, though often feel like I’m not doing enough for others to enjoy by not chatting to the camera hahah. But then I remember the whole point of making these videos in the first place is to enjoy the silent peace of nature and to bring that to others, a glimpse of the beauty one can experience, without necessarily all the chatter our younger selves who knew everything felt the need to blabber out. 😂 That being said I loved listening to you in this. ❤️ Thanks for bringing us with you on a lil adventure, you make me excited for car camping this summer! Oh and also - that little swimming oasis is so beautiful 🥹 I would live there, hehe.

haven't watched the video yet but wanted to say that whenever you upload a video, my heart lights up! (: you're so inspiring to me and it feels like home to watch your videos, because it's rare to find and be able to witness people that seem to share such similar values and dreams! it's so motivating and validating, as someone who always struggled with crippling depression and anxiety etc., to see that what I dream of, is a reality for others...so it CAN be for me, too! (: believing in myself (and my goals/dreams) is one I still struggle with, but you're helping with your videos and I couldn't be more grateful for you and what you do!! I recently decided to actually go for my dreams (one of them finally starting my own yt channel after wanting to do it for the past 12 years or so, yay :D ) and you're one of the people that keep my dreams sparkling whenever I feel discouraged! Love you, thank you!

Thanks for sharing Sorelle and NEILA - you’ve picked the best vehicle for all round ability to go anywhere here in Australia and shelter on those stormy wet days - I’d love an auto Troopy but happily in stage 3 at the end of my three-year Hilux aluminium canopy build - quite a step up from my world solo cycling treks but my senior years are dictating more creature comforts like adding a water pump/shower system soon - everyday I’m happy to be guided by the Universe and protected by Mother Nature without any unnecessary happy juice or evil substances - you’ve been granted a gift so take care and enjoy the space where many can’t relate to or afraid of being alone with their own thoughts - it’s incredibly liberating - you will also adore my state of TAS.

Good question! I’m gonna make a video about this shortly actually. But in short, I’m not capturing on video the interactions I’m having at cafes and other places which helps to top up the social bucket. But I hear you, sometimes I do have the urge to hang with humans more than solo :)
