Fun fact, when she sang 1+1 she saw Tia Mowry in the onstage audience and seamlessly remixed Tia’s old song ‘the boy’ when she was ad-libbing and blows her a kiss at 25;47 which goes to show how quick she can adapt and how tight her musicianship is. She is truly the First Lady of music and her skill and artistry is unmatched

Beyonce has nothing else to prove TO ANYBODY in this world. She well deserves all of her success and power she holds. She has made the world stop several times, gave us cultural resetting masterpieces like her last 3 albums (and i know the fourth one is coming 3.29 🤭 with act ii) and showed us what MASTERY OF VOCALS AND MUSIC IN GENERAL CAN CREATE. I’m so happy you are saying this and I have to add my two cents lol. I am doing this for all of us who are constantly told “Beyonce is overrated” . As a member of the beyhive, I started with Bey seriously back in 1997, before there was even a Beyhive. I say that to say this- people say she is overrated and gets too much love but honestly I have never heard equally as much hate on a person in my life!! The Beyhive exists because we protect her . We fight every day for the disrespect that people cast towards her . People will say “yeah she’s a good performer, but she can’t sing.” And then you point out her stellar harmonies , crisp vocal agility, and artistry and they will agree with every point yet still say she is overrated!! Like what is wrong with people ?! I don’t expect everyone to like her , that’s cool but to call Her overrated and talentless is just true hate and because she is a woman … a black woman, it is next level hate! I hope people can truly start to look inwards because Beyonce does this for THE CULTURE with grace and so much talent ! She is a student of music and it shows !! I’m proud of the Beyhive for standing up for her because fighting for Beyoncé is not for the faint of heart. She is so underrated in her gift and execution and I hope one day people can listen to the art as just that and stop being mad because of their own insecurities. Sorry for the rant , I had to lol And Zee, in case you were unsure… you are absolutely beyhive lol

Something even more magical about that moment you pinpointed where she seems to have a duet with the guitar (replicating her voice), the “yeahh yeahh yeaahhhhhhh” part at 25:43 to 26:00 … WELL, if you pay attention, just before she dives into that part, she spots someone in the crowd and blows a kiss their way. That person was Tamera Mowry (Sister, Sister) and she has a song that her girl group released when they were little girls, and that “yeah yeah yeahh the boy makes me sayyy” is from that song. Beyoncé recognized her in the crowd. Sent her a kiss and in a matter of SECONDS referenced that song and included it LIVE in her own song. The true magic is how smoothly she did that and how amazing the relationship with her musicians is, that they didn’t freak out and naturally echoed her. It wasn’t planned. It was 100% on the spot. Tamera posted about it on her Instagram.

26:00 when she starts singing "yeah yeah yeah" it's because she saw Tia Mowry in the audience RIGHT BEFORE she sang it and that was a song Bey and the girls covered when they were younger (the song was from Tia and Tamera's girl group, idk the name of the song or the group)

ZEE, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this. I requested this so many times. I've had a really rough week mentally, and seeing this video made it so much better. Also, I appreciate your response on Patreon the other day - thank you for caring about this community you built; God bless. The piano went so crazy at the start; it was so beautiful, and yes, her dress was so beautiful. Dangerously in Love is my favourite song; she knew what she was doing when she started with it. You're right - it is vocal acrobatics. She stopped towards the song's end and returned with that finale to mess everyone's heads up. Ahhh, I love it. I went to two of these shows in London and wouldn't have cared if she had been late. I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to go to a Beyoncé concert, and the people saying she can't sing boils my damn blood - I'm so glad you addressed this. I loved the birthday speech; it resonated deeply - I feel selfish in saying I wish I was at this show (even though I already went to 2) The lyrics of those ballads hit me so much. Your oxygen tank theory was hilarious. Those runs definitely reminded me of breathing techniques - this is how effortless it seems for her. Her transitions from high to low are to be studied; they are an art. From all the Beyoncé reactions you've done, it's clear to us that 1+1 is your favourite. Musical instruments are the only worthy adversary for Beyoncé's voice, I love it when she does that thing, too. The band member who was pregnant has been with her for years; you'll see more about her when you watch the movie. Beyoncé truly is the best performer of all time. My next request is for you to start from the Destiny's Child albums and work your way through to the '4' album before Renaissance Act 2 drops (please post them on Patreon if you can't do it on here) Thank you!
