It's good that you sang as part of the lesson. A lot of guys don't do that, they just give you the chords and you have to figure out how to get the vocals in.

Thanks for that. This is not only a great song, it's a fine poem and a perfect short story all at the same time. There will never be anyone else like Lennon/Mccartney.

Very nice rendition. The intro reminds me of the Dire Straits Why Worry song that is a masterpiece. Joe you never fail to teach great Beatles songs. Just a few suggestions...1. I wish you could get a better resolution on your videos (hell, I'll even buy you a new camera!) 2. Could you do an electric Beatles song such as Tax Man or Doctor Robert? 3. How did you learn these songs and what is your background? Oh well...I'm a huge fan.... Vongibson

@jpm2u10 жыл бұрын
I'm playing it in E, but thanks.
@DiegoJinkusMusic10 жыл бұрын
jpm2u I know. That's exactly the reason why I say there's NO need for capo. Usually people use the capo only for the intro. I'm simply providing an alternative way to play it with no capo so you can use the whole set of strings.
@avgfilm24246 жыл бұрын
It depends on your voice, too. Capos aren't just for limiting barre chords.

@vongibson1968 Great song by the one and only Mark Knopfler. So let's see: 1. Yes a better cam is necessary especially in this modern age of HD. Sorry dude, but unless I start charging for these vids, I won't be getting a new cam soon, but thanks for the offer. 2. I'll get working on Dr. Robert and Taxman but it'll take time as I'm still an amateur hack an my lead work leaves much to be desired. 3. As to how I learned the songs....mmmm (to be cont....)
@mjsmcd5 жыл бұрын
Are u a pro muscian?
@jpm2u13 жыл бұрын
@vongibson1968 (cont..) I learn a lot of songs using a book called The Beatles Complete Chord Songbook by Ricky Rooksby (the best). I then arrange songs by listening to the music as the chords in the book often need to be in different voicings or are not quite perfect. Also, there is no lead work in the book so I try to figure things out by listening. Finally, I learn a lot from other talented Beatle KZbinrs. Glad you're a fan and I'm waiting for the cam (ha ha) Thanks Von.
