That actually wasn't editing. There is a red door to the right of the beginning of Casey's nook, where Dan walked through to get the ball. If you listen closely, you can hear his footsteps are consistent. The red door is barely mentioned but if you watch Casey tours, you'll be able to see it by the wall of charging camera batteries.
