So sad. My mom lost her first husband at 26 (he also died of testicular cancer). They were married and 10 months he was diagnosed and 18 months my mom was a widow. I really hope she can find inner peace and grieve and find new love. My mom did with my dad (3 years after her husband died) and they've been married for 37 years. It's amazing she is able to share her story and offer comfort for others. She's a beacon of strength (as is my mom).

My boyfriend in college was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Fortunately, he’s 54 now and CA free. It was very scary and we broke up because he couldn’t handle a relationship at the time. I respected his decision although very difficult.

Thanks @holly, I feel the same, but I couldn't find the word until I read what you wrote. I lost my dad first and then my mom a year and a half ago and couldn't put a word to my loss. I too have that feeling of being an orphan. It is a process and some days are better than others. I wish you peace!

I lost my fiance when I was 20 years old to an accidental drug overdose it was 2 months after my mom died from multiple sclerosis in 3 months before that my Grandpa died from cancer and then a year after all that happened my best friend also died from an accidental drug overdose and getting through all of it was the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life and some days are still unbearable and then other days all I want to do is talk about them and being here there's things and listen to their favorite music and watch their favorite movies there's no right or wrong way to deal with grief everybody is different. I admire and relate to Caitlin so much and I just want to say to always love and cherish people in your life that you care about and love because you never know when they can be taken away from you. And to my angels in the sky I love you and I miss you everyday and I will never let your memory be forgotten 💔 🙏🏽🕊️🦋

My condolences 😢 to the family and her. It’s nice that she wants to stay connected to his family that’s beautiful. I feel for her, however I disliked the phrase of them saying that’s who you are.
