This “Signature” EP as she called it was her ‘babies’ because it’s her songwriting era. Usually, on her career she was handed out songs to interpret and record on the studio, but this time it was different. When pandemic happened (when all of us were forced to stay at home), and thru the persistent persuasion of the husband Dave Lamar, she finally gave a songwriting a try. And that produced 5 songs namely: 1. Love you still - as she described as the most personal because it’s like a letter to her father whom she had a conflict with forcing her to moved out to their house *dave related; 2. Phoenix - a motivational song; 3. Trophy - women empowerment song; 4. Mirror- self-reflecting song; and finally 5. Will you stay - a post-relationship realization song. There’s a tons of performances on each song you’ll find (Wishbus, RX Moster Radio, Live Band, etc) because she promoted the EP in the most creative way possible. Hope you can react to them all. Her father felt her choice in love was a mistake, and she was being manipulated by Dave to further his own career. He was really helped her....break out of her shell.....and putting pen to paper to create original music , but many of the songs are from songs he began writing.....especially in the From The Sea , songs they did together. He did finally get to sing, as an artist on the WISH bus , a couple of the songs from the From The Sea EP , so maybe now Morissette can concentrate on her OWN new music. This song is for her Dad, who still hasn't spoke to her in 4 yrs.
