I believe every child is born with empathy, but conditions and people do such damage to these little gentle spirits that they close down their empathy and then set about making everyone they encounter miserable, too! Tragic. This mother did the right things to help her child understand her own emotional reaction and give her compassion. The little girl obviously gets her needs met when needed because she tells the dinosaur, "Say 'Mama!' " Clearly, this child has learned when she says "Mama" Mama comes and helps her. That is what all children need and deserve. ❤❤❤

I agree. I used to be a very deeply feeling empath. I could feel pain in my body where someone else was hurting. I would immediately start to touch the person next to me and rub them and they would ask how I knew they were hurting in that spot. I didn't understand why or what it was myself. As I grew up and experienced "life", I ended up being hurt so many times, by so many people, that most of that has disappeared. It was only after I hit 40 that I found out what a gift I had. I hate that I've lost it. I hope she is nurtured with her gift and taught about it so she doesn't lose hers. I'd give anything to feel the empathy I used to have.

Rare. But not good. When youre an adult, nobody will understand. It‘s only cute, when kids have it. Later on people hate it, it‘s annoying for them. Was once a child like her. Crying when somebody tells a sad store, because i felt what they felt. You will meet so many people who will hurt you and it will affect you so deeply. May you never meet a bad person little girl.
