I have used a great solution for fire ants in the past. I had a garden with two or three large ant mounds but I didn't want to use poisons then I heard about this perfect solution. A 50-50 mix of listerine mouthwash and lemon liquid dish soap. Mix in some water and use a hose end sprayer to spray you lawn, foundation of your home, etc. The ants hate the listerine and my experience was within a week the ants left my garden and back yard, have never returned. Didn't spoil the crops in the garden neither.

I’m assuming the regular Original Listerine? What Lemon Dish Soap did you use? What Brand? I don’t remember seeing any Lemon Dish Soap on the shelf anywhere here. Any suggestions anyone? I’ve tried that Taro stuff, doesn’t work, I’ve tried Grits, didn’t really work. I don’t think they were or are fire ants though, we have several different kinds. Big red ants, small black ants and tiny black ants and I think regular ants 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️. I appreciate any suggestions

Blessing Boys, I love the house (wish could have seen inside it), and a beautiful yard with lots of trees. I love there is a side porch too. I noticed there are two doors at that porch. It looked like it could be a duplex at that end, but would take up a lot of the house. It may be able to enter both sides of the house. Is it rooms down below? It is a beautiful place, but a lot of yard to keep up. If the couple moves in, the husband not well, hope they have someone to do the work for them. It really would need a husband like you to keep it up, and with sons (not that a wife and daughters could help). There is a clothesline, and a steel structure. Is there a driveway? It was funny about the cows, but not the fireflies (mower getting stuck too). You and your boys always do a GREAT job!

That is such a nice little brick home, so hopefully now someone can move in and make sure of it. Now that the area is cleaned up, hoping the people that own it can keep up the yard maintenance going forward. Lord Bless you and your family, for all the good you do to help and Bless others.

Justin….have a suggestion for you when you have a lot of tree limbs to haul off. If you watch Kevin Hansen’s channels….The Lawn care Juggernaut or The boring Channel you can see him do a neat little trick of hauling them off. He lines the trunks up of the limbs all going towards the back of his mower. Then he ties a rope around the branches, then hooks the rope on the back of his Toro zero turn mower and lets the mower do all of the work. I thought it was a very good idea when I first saw him do it. Thought maybe it could help you too.

I know it is too late now but for future fire ants or any type of bug that leaves a stinger behind in your skin! Go to any big drugstore and ask for a new hand held suction tube mostly used to pull out mosquito bite stingers or bee stingers! It is made of plastic or rubber and is a hollow tube with suction on one end! not that expensive! Once stinger is out all pain stops!
