If anyone knows, what’s the time difference between this and the Ruyi Loves life one? (As in like which is set later in history and his is more “modern”)? I’m very new to Chinese drama, Ruyi was literally the first and I’ve only seen clips and based off KZbin suggestions and of course that one doesn’t end happily. Though someone suggested one where it’s sort of set in not modern times and the guy turns into a “cat” or something based on her amulet. I’ll also take suggestions for other Chinese or Korean etc dramas (I watch plenty of anime but I’d take Japanese ones too). I want all to have a BIT of romance, it doesn’t have to be the center piece but if it is I want a happy ending and not one of these “she died but they finally got together when she was reincarnated” though the one with the Phoenix did it really well. In general I like sci-fi, fantasy, etc where there’s romance in it too. Like an alien/demon/angel/emperor finally in love with the girl and they have to overcome obstacles to be together. I know it sounds simple but I read so much heavy works that I like simple enjoyable things to do between. Like next I’m considering Tolstoy unless people have better suggestions

Instead of this (Queen Dugu), you should watch 'The Legend of Dugu'. Both are on the same historical person, but legend of Dugu have much more Authentication with respect to original historians.
