They are more comedians than musicians. I really want to see them play seriously on stage with an orchestra. They played Sibelius.... I want to see them as soloists backed by the Berlin Phil or BBC orchestra.... *anything* ! but they continue with these little tid-bit videos. I wish them all the best, I just wish they put out more genuinely serious musical content.
@angelnichols54083 жыл бұрын
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 Oh, I fully disagree. They’re equal parts comedian and musician. I also enjoy they’re more serious content, but I get the fact that orchestra performances aren’t generally free, and to record them and release them for free would essentially be equivalent to robbing themselves. I would like to see more of their “playing our subscriber’s compositions” series. Those definitely show off their skills.
@liamnevilleviolist18093 жыл бұрын
@@angelnichols5408 well it doesn't have to be a full orchestra. I am without a doubt not as successful as TwoSet and surely earn less than them on a weekly basis, but I still manage to put on concerts (self-funded) with small orchestras. It's available to see on my channel if you need proof. In fact, did I not see TwoSet play the Bach Double concerto with a whole orchestra? That video is out there... so they do have the means to play complete concerti with full orchestras but they choose not to. TwoSet's strong point is comedy and appealing to their audience. If the audience didn't lap up all the memes and fly-by text inserts then they would've stopped all that by now, because it's all about what's trending in the teenage world. I don't know *many* teenagers who want to see a full concerto which is a shame. I can't name anyone here in Australia above the age of 30 who loves TwoSet unfortunately but we have to watch the videos to catch up to and relate more to out students.

Keila's words of wisdom is something I needed honestly. I've kind of forgotten what it's like to just have fun to play music. I've been so focused on making it my career and being too serious with it that I never have much fun and enjoying it anymore. Thank you, Keila! And please have her back on the channel! She's amazing! Totally wowed me with her abilities!
@brassholio3 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of us go through that. Especially since as a professional musician you don't actually control what you are playing most of the time, it makes it literally feel like a job. You can't just pick and choose the fun stuff in a performance, you have to do the whole thing and some times it's arduous and boring. Sometimes you gotta play what you wanna play, even if it's just with a group of mates for fun.

@@bloosy1771 exactly! Is it just me who has never disliked a video I clicked on by accident? If I don't like it I just leave, unless the video shows something disturbing like animal abuse; which I disliked and reported. How hard it is to ignore something not your type!?
@garyguyton73733 жыл бұрын
@@hxL2_elisa I'll thumbs down any video or comment I find offensive, abusive, or harmful. Stating a contrary opinion is none of the above when done respectfully. It's simply an exchange of information. And how can one find out if something new to you isn't "your type" without listening or viewing? 8k likes v. 17 total dislikes...That tells them they are doing something right.
@JohnSmith-cg6rq3 жыл бұрын
@@hxL2_elisa if u dont like a video but u think it's objectively bad rather than simply not suiting ur tastes u should dislike so other people can see it and be warned about it if the like/dislike ratio is low. That being said its practically impossible for a video with even a medium sized number of views to not have dislikes because theres a lot of bots on yt.
