I read the source manga for this movie. The thing about it is that our protagonist is schizophrenic to the point that it's not clear to the reader whether anything we read is actually real, like his girlfriend, or his co-worker, or even the zombie apocalypse. It's a really piece of work, but it's very fun, and you are better off reading it than watching this movie.

I stopped nearing the end with the massive zombie blob chasing them. I was digging the survivalist/zombie vibe, so that whole shtick at the end was just too far left field for me to actually enjoy

Honestly I say this as a construction worker. I mean constructive criticism, this type of title and thumbnail is the reason you channel got big real fast (I think), I feel like gruesome or unsettling feeling baits more than the IA sexual thumbnails because we've got those everywhere tbh, and they're not fooling anybody. (Ofc there might be exceptions) So people clicked for the thumbnail then stayed for the humor and how soothing your voice is while delivering such witty scripts.

I didn't catch the title from the description, so watching this vid made me progressively go, why does this story seem so familiar! Then seeing him with the rifle, it all clicked, fuck it's that manga! LOL I didn't actually finish the manga, kinda stopped nearing the end, the big zombie blob was too far left field for me, I was digging the survivalist/zombie manga vibe so it was sort of a shock and I couldn't get with it.

SO. This starts off good. Cinematography is good. Good enough to allow you to ignore the CGI tinting everywhere. Pacing is good. And right off the bat…they let you kno that we’re partly dealing with an unreliable narrator.

Zombies are my least favorite sci-fi/horror genre, but your narration helped a lot. The gruesome (yet detailed af) CGI may also be of interest to others. In the West they would’ve needed to add a sex scene and nudity.
