Hi Sandy, you are very attentive to details, i also check all my longchamp bags and yes all tags were in the left side and the stitching also very balanced...however on the button part, it does have this combination on my latest "le pliage green" line which i just bought this year

Hi Ruby, thanks for your input! Yes you are right. I forgot to check my Energy bags when doing this video. I've checked one this morning and it also had that combination (so the 'Longchamp Longchamp' and then the 'old style' on the base'). I'll try to find out if Longchamp mixes up these base buttons 'randomly' or if it depends on the specific line within the Le Pliage collection. Thanks for letting us know!

I know right! On the Netherlands website it has never been restocked since it was sold out. Where are you based? US?

@@SandySola yes…and it came in once, I was able to order it, but it was not an acceptable item, the flap and snaps were crooked and it would not close properly…it was returned for an exchange, but it’s been over a month. The website says it will be restocked soon. I’m thinking I should have requested a refund and took my chances later!

I recently recieved a new Le Pliage in the new pink from the current collection from a well known reputable store in a similar state, the stitching was messy and coming apart, the glazing was also messy and the handles were fraying and uneven. I thought it may have been fake or a dud and returned it to get a new one, only to be sent another one in a similar state but slightly better condition. Perhaps it was a strange batch. Thanks for the video, very helpful and very interesting that the label was on the wrong side, something I would not have noticed before.

Ah strange yes… maybe it was a strange batch indeed 🤔 but interesting that different aspects are not the usual quality 🤔 so far on my own bags i only had little bit of sloppy stitching on the cognac colored top handle bag.. but for the rest they all look the same/similar in the other details. I mean they are never 100% perfect but this city pouch looks toooo suspicious lol Thanks for sharing your experience and thanks for watching 🤍

I bought mine from the Longchamp boutique and the buttons are the same as the one on your alleged "fake" one. So that may not be an indicator on whether it's fake or not.

Hi look at the stitching on flap on the bag that you suspect to be a false. The stitch is not evenly space as the one you know to be an authentic. There also something with the way it catches the light, but for me the stitching is the tell.

Hi Sandy - thanks for a great video. This is really informative. I have found the same snap button combination including the same script and dot configuration on the back of the button on my small top handle petal pink le pliage. I bought it less than a month ago from the Longchamp store online. Now worried it’s a fake that’s a return from someone. A very good one if it’s fake because it smells really nice like the others (new leather / canvas smell) and other details look normal. Could you kindly check the back of that fake pouch button where it says Longchamp Longchamp, it’s a different script and dot configuration to your pouches and newer bags, but is it the same style/ script / dot configuration as your energy bag button? I mean the dots in two circles around the words Longchamp Longchamp. I notice on mine - it’s the outer circle of dots - is missing a few dots on two sides (evenly on opposite sides) and the inner circle of dots is not missing any dots, but the other bag button clips that say Longchamp Longchamp, I notice all the dots are there except 1 dot on the inner circle. And the script/ text format of that button is different to the others - slightly smaller script and the “A” is almost like a triangle. Sorry if this sounds a bit crazy and too into the small detail hahaha. I don’t have access to view the back of buttons in a Longchamp store as I bought all of mine online, and I only just started collecting. Anyway just to say I love your videos, I’ve subscribed and been watching your vlogs with great interest. Brings back memories. xx from Australia

Check the distance between the logo and snap button. It looks to me it is shorter than the real one. Btw, the mini energy I bought from Rakuten that has the same snap button base on your suspicious one. Now you make me think about mine 😂

Hi Holly, yea now that I’ve seen the video again I also notice more small differences. I totally forgot to check my Energy bags.. I just checked the one in hawthorn and it also has the same old style base. So same as yours.. apparently they then still use them on the energy bags.. interesting

Thanks for your reply Sandy. Now I am relieved that my mini Energy is authentic. 😅I always check if the logo on the flap is in the right position. They can never get it right when they make the fake ones. I have been sold a couple of fake ones. that’s why I know. 😊

Hi Gladys, yes that is the safest option 👍 but still always good to check details properly. Unfortunately there are people out there purchasing designer bags from the store and then returning fakes.
