I've started carrying a portable stool for the tall dumpsters - I use a folding one that fits in one of those cloth shopping bags so it looks innocuous and yet I get the advantage of getting the extra reach. Plus I can put stuff I find in the cloth shopping bag as I scoot out of the location.

To be honest..I think all we dumpster divers shouldnt upload videos showing us pulling to the stores. I think we should just show the actual dumpster and what we found at home...all the going through the bags while your there is a bad idea because they can order you to put things back in...Plus the corporations are hip to this and Im pretty sure they watch the videos..alot of them are ordering employees to order and use locked dumpsters or put gates up and post private property warnings now. They just did it at 2 Ultas in my area. We're seeing more and more videos with Burlington and Five Below dumpsters locked with private property signs. You actually can get on trouble by the law diving there now. Revealing where we are and all we found is going to be our downfall

K.I.Visions they do have something like that on Facebook but it’s a private website to join look up dumpster diving on your search on Facebook and might take two weeks for you to get excepted but there you’ll find a lot of the divers and they show you what they get but you’re not allowed to share the name of the stores

I agree with you K.I. but I love watching they're video's..thats what makes it fun..in my area in S. Fl. there is a couple who has ruined it for all us dd. You can see the street signs and know exactly where they are at. I've been dd for nearly 30 years and never had a problem til these guys came along. It's very sad 😭😭. At least in these videos you don't know exactly what town they are in and that's a good thing for them.

It is in trash dumpsters so the stores have already written it off as damaged. Let the divers have the stuff. The only bad thing ,they open the trash bags and then have to leave the cast offs in the dumpster. Stephen-Stephanie go through a lot. I.am.surprised they aren't confronted more often. Stores should have 25 cent sales for good things that are going to be trashed. Most cosmetic have expiration dates. Big lots has .20 cent sales. The stores could have gift bag give aways. I think the larger dumpsters that are behind metal fences are probably under surveillance to make sure employees dont take. But once it is in the dumpster it is trash.

Wal mart near me throws dumpsters FULL of fruits and vegetables. The should least donate them few days before date. There’s so much hunger in our country yet we toss everything so easily. Well minus the divers and resellers 💪🏻

They could give it to farmers, the manager would just have to call around pig farmers, would love to take it. My friends whom owned a donut shop, would take all the left overs to the pig farmers they love it. Up here in Seattle Wa, they fine customers if they don't do recycling and dump cardboard into regular garbage, which they should do all that cardboard, can and should be recycled. Where I live the Garbage Company, for $8.00 a month charge us for food garbage can so all food, and yard waste, even pizza boxes, all cardboard food containers, can be recycled.

The shelters won’t take good that is expired or open or questionable. The stores need to change their policies and donate before they are expired if possible. I’m sure the shelters would come pick it up! Sad they just dump it

You cant get arrested..but depending on your city laws it may be legal. Ask you city gov or even a cop. Theyll tell you if there is a law for dumpster diving. But mainly you can get in trouble for tampering with locked dumpsters or going in private enclosed dumpsters. If the dumpster is open with no locks, have at it...just dont make a mess or get caught...the worst thing they can say is leave
