Because it happened the first time we saw it from original time still exist today even after changing the time. the original timeline would fade from existence as it split the two timeline after the change and she return to their "original time", but this would have to be far in the future to have a new timeline which is timeline branches from original timeline are like "the alternate reality" after the her previous self had left in original timelines will still happen to change the future by going to the past. We don't get to see the future. They may have reality's anchor temporal modifications to the space-time continuum just like we seen the other time machine , allowing her to physically remain conscious of their own timeline after changing history by traveling back in time then back to the future.

@@kaboomwinn4026 You state that as if it was fact. You dont know that. There are a few theories. Thats the Back To the Future theory. Its not very sound. There is no reason to believe there would be a new "timeline" whatever that is. Why would you move to a new timeline? No, i think there is only one. The point of the movie was to change events the past so they can change the future. their present. My point is that wouldnt be possible. I like the movie hg wells Time Machine theory better. You cant change the past to change the present because if you did change it you would have no reason to go back to the past in the first place. If changing the past moved you to an alternate reality you didnt change anything but only moved to a new reality where it didnt happen. If thats the case dont built a time machine build a device that moves you to a new demention like Rick and Morty.
