That's one of the best testimonies I've ever heard regarding waking up to the fact that each of us is responsible for our health and the health of our children. We must indeed be in the "drivers seat" and practice "intentional living". Well said! Lastly, I could write a book on the mistakes I've witnessed in the field of medicine; doctors and nurses are fallible, and sadly, a good number of them shouldn't be in healthcare.

I am a retired psychiatrist (MD). I taught my patients they were responsible for themselves and ALL their doctors were consultants. So the massage was to learn as much as possible from their doctors then start asking their pharmacist. They themselves needed to decide cost, risk benefits, not let the doctors. I still think the AMA is DAFT. I do hold a MD but that does not mean I support the GOVERNMENT BUREAU American Medical Association. The AMA was created in 1847 because som whiny azz MDs complained to the government apprentice doctors "didn't have enough book learning " but what they meant was we are jealous the apprentice doctors make money before we do. Now Congress runs United States Medical establishment through the ABC agencies & insurance control. They actually forced doctors into killing people in 2020 with Remdizavir (benefiting Dr F).

Yes doctors and nurses are human beings and make mistakes, you would never know who can trust in with your health. But most of them are great experts. You still need healthcare, you could not replace them. What you can do as a citisen? Demand a better filtering system in profession/education and spichology condition, and better work environment to keep the capable ones. I understand why peeps seeking solutions in natural medicines, they can be usefull as a side cure.

I love this! Totally made me remember, When I divorced my ex husband I had nothing! No car, no phone, etc. I was given an opportunity to rent an old home with no ac no heat and was told "Jody you don't want this place ! It is a dump. Not to mention their isn't even a dishwasher. " I said " what are you talking about it's perfect " I tell you this because of the comment about if you made it to his house deserves a meal. I befriended the homeless because I encountered them walking to and from. One in particular I used to feed egg sandwiches on front porch. Westbound not judge but do what we are called to do. Even if it is to feed or be kind. Sorry just brought me down memory lane.

Wow, I’ve been following you guys for a while but I hadn’t heard this part of your story before. You guys are seriously a gift from YHWH for my family. We had a very similar experience after our first daughters one-year MMR. Her 💉 were combined because of the sickness going around in the world and she had a reaction. I had a moment of sitting there with her burning up saying, “I knew this. At every single appointment I knew this and didn’t speak up because I’m ‘not qualified.’” That’s the moment when true health sent me on a journey to find real foods, real experiences, real education, real family, real life. I searched for homesteading tips on YT and you guys popped up and I was shocked at how much your videos resonated with me. You have been so helpful! From preservation, to medicinal herbs, to being stewards of this earth and using sustainable and efficient permaculture techniques, to homeschooling - you guys had a video for just about everything my overwhelmed mind was trying to learn about. YHWH has made you guys a vessel for sharing truth in this broken world, I am so thankful for your openness. For laying something on the line so you could share such life with the world. Thank you so much for your love and kindness ❤️

I've started my homestead journey and have learned a wealth of knowledge and wisdom from your family. It did my heart good to see your family around the table and working together as a family and the older kids helping with the younger kids etc. It reminded me of my family because my parents married young and had 12 kids (I'm the youngest), and they were married for 72 years before the Lord called them home. There is SOOOO much I could say, but all I’m going TO say, is that you guys have edified and educated me, and today I made butter in my stand mixture in my tiny little apartment from store bought milk, and you taught me to do it. In one of your very old pantry chats, you and Josh encouraged those that want “the lifestyle” to take the time before the land and the animals are provided to build as many skills as possible to be readied for the land and lifestyle part. That was a HUGE confirmation of what the Lord has been speaking to my heart lately. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing as I listened! I grew up on a family dairy farm and gardening, have gardened and preserved food (canning, freezing and dehydrating) my whole life, but there are ENDLESS more skills I need for the life I’m hoping God provides for myself and my family. But for now, I will busy myself with the skill building. Thank you for all the things I am about to learn from you, and for the hard work you put into sharing with us and teaching us. Thank you for it letting fear keep you quiet.

Thank You for all you do, I always wanted to learn all that you teach on KZbin, My mother cooked meals & taught me to cook Tortillas, Chile, Frijoles, all Mexican food that kept us busy for 5 children two adults & Grandpa, no canning, Please don't stop, I am 69, married 53yrs with 4 Children they are married with their families. Over the years I have taught myself to do canning wished I had learned all you teach @ a younger age. God Bless you & your Husband & all your children. I need to learn so much more from you, please don't stop what you are doing, I have taught my children to be good cooks & I still have time to teach them much more, Thank You, Bernice F. B.

I don't know if it helps, but I think the kind of person who would rob another of food wouldn't be too interested in cooking or canned veggies. I think they'd rather knock over a 7-11 and eat all the doughnuts first. You'll be able to see the signs of things slowly going bad, and you might be able to help by donating to food banks, and teaching your family, friends & neighbors to do canning so they can feel the abundance & self-confidence, too. I hope you'll keep sharing on FB, and inspire others to try preserving their own food (or at least think about a home pantry of store-bought food). Maybe it'll become a movement, and we'll have enough to share with all!

I sooo appreciate your candidness. It is wonderful to be on the land like that. And to be honest, once you are in your routines and fulfilling a homesteading life, you don’t miss tv or all the conveniences of the city. I do not live in the country or the woods but grew up in Montana where fishing and hunting was a part of our survival in the city. I know that each and everyone of us has a gift to share with others and that we all fit together in this big puzzle of life. I remind others of that when they get down on themselves for thinking they have not done enough to prep. When hard times hit, we will know just how much we have to offer, even though it may not look like much at the moment. While in the country or in the city, Happy homesteading y’all 🎉and have a Blessed Day 🦋

Small town ways pulled at my heart. I missed planting and harvesting the garden with my great grandparents, harvesting and shelling pecans, honey, shocking corn, shelling and snapping peas! I missed helping her can the vegetables she worked so hard to grow! We bought a house on a couple if acres. We have a garden, chickens, pigs. We are teaching our 13 year old daughter (we have 4 grown children with spouses and children of their own and then the caboose!!) what it's about! She loves every minute of it! She helps me can, garden, gather eggs, process chickens, helps with herbal remedies. It is a very rewarding life! It's a life I would not have known where to begin to start if I had not found your channel!! So for that I thank you!!

I'm a mom to 9 unschooled children (only one left at home now) and when we decided to hit the road and travel Canada/USA/MX with the youngest 7, we had many ppl tell us we were being irresponsible & endangering our children. But we felt that it was what God wanted us to do. Those were some of the best (& challenging) years we ever had as a family & I know we touched many peoples' lives. Wow, are we ever glad we followed God's leading & timing. Now we're basically prisoners in our native Canada, unable to leave the country at all. Keep doing what you are led to do, Carolyn (& Josh) and the rewards will be great. And even if the zombies come for all your food, you know you've been faithful. I have given this a lot of thought also on how to safe guard my supplies and have to admit I am very private in this area because I have seen what despriate people have and can do. Sadly I we have to think in this way. That aside, I for one appreciate everything I have learned from you and being a fellow Idahoian appreciate hearing from someone who experiences the same issues and rescources I have. We have changed so much in how we eat, grow our garden, obtain our beef and now getting fresh eggs right out of my mini farm. Making friends with the farmers and ranchers have also been invaluable. Your lesson on not wasting so much food has given me a renewed perspective and waste now are bones my animals cant have. Thank you and please keep sharing and teaching.

Thank you. I am an apt dweller on the second floor in a studio, but I have enough food in boxes where it is hidden. I should be able to provide meals for many people over a long time. I also thought about utility outages, so I have a variety of camping gear, fuel for that and a LOT of bottled water. As well as a foldable rain barrel with lots of purifiers and filters. And lots of fresh water rivers and lakes nearby. I was once homeless for a decade. I have no family and am alone in life. But my plan is to be a resource to others. I was in major depression with three suicide attempts. I, before I had my stroke, I used to cook nice quality meals with all the extras, then take it in individual containers to homeless citizens. With the coming issues, I have let certain neighbors that I will be a resource. I set one of them up with planters. I am using them for flowers right now. But I have lots of seeds if we need to set up a garden somehow. (I am by the beach in San Diego). I was helped a lot in my decade on the streets Spirit was there when I tried to "go home" as I called it, three times. Now I am returning the favor. So this is somewhat a spiritual calling. This video shows that others are following the call too. I am in an upstairs apt with a defensible location that gives no access to my unit unless I grant it. Times are coming. Spirit is watching out for us who share freely. I plan to offer hot meals at my apartment in to-go cups and water bottles. For homeless citizens as well as neighbors.

As I’ve struggled to get our garden going, and hearing about things my grandma did, and things I need to ask my aunts to share so I can possess that knowledge and impart it to the next generation... it’s overwhelming! It used to be so commonplace, but has become so far removed from being normative. I've learned so much from my father, who learned from his grandmother, and would love to pass the skills along but like you've said - it's not commonplace anymore. Very few people interested in herbal medicine and being self- sufficient. I would go as far as to say that in my area people are suspicious of it. I find it impossible to give food away when I have a glut of something. People are afraid of any fruit and veg that doesn't come wrapped in plastic. It's a sad state of affairs how far today's society is removed from how we are supposed to live.

Thank you soooo much for doing what you do for all of us! I follow several homesteading families and have learned so much from each of you. I would not have had the gumption to do what I do if not for you. I am very disabled, but I keep striving to get things done. I have turned my whole backyard into a garden and struggle each summer/fall to get everything canned/dehydrated and frozen, but it's all worth it! So...Thank you so much! Stay strong, share the faith and keep going forward on your earthly mission.
