She Tried Everything but Couldn't Get Her Chrysler 300 to Start!

Hey Good People,
I had a 2012 Chrysler 300 in the shop. Customer stated that her car had been sitting for a while. She had the starter replaced, and her car still wouldn't start. In this video I go through my diagnostic process to find the real problem.

My Wifes pride and joy and her baby is a 2016 Chrysler 300 AWD. She was in a minor car wreck and the 300 been at the body shop for almost 3 weeks I can't imagine a month! I'm glad that lady found you.

I’m late to this video but I had this same exact issue when I worked at firestone with a hyundai. The customer bought the car from a buy here pay here and I thought it was also a starter at first glance. After some further diag, the exact same box you showed was installed into the ignition switch harness. The box was faulty and causing the no start, so when I bypassed it, started no issue. She was able to produce the title and payoff paperwork. I had to repair their poor installation job on the harness. Love seeing guys that know what they are doing! Keep it up!

Ok i have a captiva and i have been trying to tell the dealer that gps kill switch is cause electrical shorts but the refuse to remove it and it doesn't work they tell me all the time its not giving a signal. Long story short is every shop i take it to wants to swap it instead of checking the electrical. All the code are low circuit and they keep telling me im not a mechanic i have the whole repair book for my car but no mechanic will listen. Wish i was close to u so i can get it fixed the right way instead of swapping part thats not the problem

I know im late to this but you have to call the business if someone in Kentucky were im at have thst problem With a tracking device because in the state of Kentucky like me im paying on a car and i they maill you the Titles, they don't mail it to the finance company

Man you know your Chrysler products and with the quickness. I need your help with a situation close to this one. had to go get another car, my 2007 2.7 Charger hasn't ran in exactly 1 year and replaced starter too. Not sure what to do at this point. May 26 2022 was when I had to get this other car. The Charger is a crank no start.

Did you check the spark at the plugs when cranking? Did you also check the fuel injectors for fuel spray? Is it a fast crank, dragged out crank or a slow crank? The way it cranks can narrow it down. For example, if it is a fast crank, generally that can mean either an emission, fuel or ignition systems issue but it also can be an internal engine issue but engine issues are the outside chance. If it has a dragging sort of crank, it is more than likely be bad engine timing or little to no compression in either one or all of the cylinders. Do a compression check by making sure the ignition and fuel systems are disabled and make sure you depressurize the fuel system. If it is a slow crank, it is most likely something electrical be it the wiring, battery or alternator. A weak engine can also crank slowly partucularly if the engine oil used is a high viscosity (20 w50) anyone? Or it can be certain parts of the engine binding such as the crankshaft. Verify all of this and that is the way you can narrow it down. Hope this helps.
