The days of jerry-rigging vegicle powertrains ended over 25 years ago. You will be blamed for whatever went wrong before you worked on it. Much respect Alex for maintaining your high standards! 🤗

Thanks Alex. Sadly I think this is what I have, constant knock sensors getting replaced the last 2 years or so.. been on warranty but they don’t want to hear me when I say that’s clearly not the issue. Will look into these problems

40:45 *Now I will say this Brother, REMEMBER: the SRT8 is my EXPERTISE, as soon as he started the engine I heard the "Hemi Tick." Now the untrained ear may not have heard it, but I sure did. Sometimes it just needs to run for a while and it goes away, because either the Drivetrain just needs to be LUBRICATED thoroughly OR the INJECTORS can actually be THAT LOUD! But more often than not it's the Lifters or the Rocker Arms. If he didn't pull the Valve Covers or the Heads then he doesn't know. But if it's still ticking that loud after about 2 days of consistent driving, there's an issue.*

39:00 *Now you KNOW! THIS is what I do!!! They don't make the line that runs from the PS to the Intake anymore so that's probably why they plugged it, but that's OBVIOUSLY not the best for the engine. You'll have to by some type of equivalent line to connect the two.*

I used the full synthetic oil and changed oil every 6000 miles! I still had to replace the turbo and oil cooler! Changed most of the things you mentioned! I think I have to change the water pump next!🤣 I have 184000 miles on it and it’s still going!👍

Hi wow what a great visual lesson I’ve heard that running low on fuel was bad for the fuel pump but boy this really shows how and why that happens thank you for this great video

I have a 2008 4runner with 209k miles. I changed the oil regularly, but I hardly did anything else. Is there any preventative maintenance i should do, Iike changing the water pump? The engine is quiet, and nothing is leaking. Thanks.

when a pump of any kind sucks in air with the liquid the term is cavitation. love the demonstration tho.
