Bro, seeing her take those slams has somehow reawakened the pain I felt from my own ones, way back in the day. I would've probably tried once or twice, and depending on the severity of the impact, stopped quickly. Her commitment is both amazing and scary 🙏 💪

What a beast she is! One friendly critique I can give is that the change to flat is all about letting your legs take the impact like a spring and the rest of the body maintaining form. She is a natural hucker but the first three times she was very stiff when she reached the bottom and her body could not adapt and she got bodied. Once that muscle memory kicks in this will be a walk in the park for her.

Surprised no one mentioned this to her when she was trying it. Best way to get comfortable with the transition is she shoulda practiced down some drop ins from like 5-10 feet up. Then a bit higher. Then when comfortable enough go for the kickflip in

@@m00rem0ney24right ? I felt bad because if she didnt stiffen up on the transition change to flat she would have had it. Injuries are part of skating but committing to the same thing over and over and getting wrecked like that is scary. My body could not handle that i would have been over it after first skid like that and that last slam was way to fucked

@@m00rem0ney24indeed, everyone has its own approach when it comes to doing tricks (we all know people who refuse to take any middle steps and still manage) but that is definitely what I would have done after the first slam, that would be my approach too.

Not only for technique but also to feel the love and support of the brothers around her.. I'd expect the same if it were a 'he' as well. 'team love and support' man. It's good stuff. Hip her to adjustments on that transition guys.. Wtf. Encouragement seemed lacking. Skater cats.. Not exactly the most sensitive bunch. They are when they get older. She took some dingers.. Hard to watch. But i was happy to read the post. I felt the same way re technical support.

99 percent of people will never begin to understand the kind of huck it takes to bomb something like that. 99.9 percent will never even THINK about trying it let alone ACTUALLY try it and 99.99999999999 percent would NEVER get up, brush themselves off and try it AGAIN after any one of those slams. Bro. I was so scared everytime she went down. As l know u guys there were too. Especially being there in real life which is way gnarlier. Dude said it perfect, 'shes givin me massive anxiety '. Yeah shes gnarly & was fully charging but that was alittle too much for her to hit it full boar from top. If l was there l wouldve recommend to her to baby step the bank. Start from low to high in increments to get the feel of the bottom edge of bank. Def give her props tho & she def has balls. As lm pretty sure some of the guys there didnt even attempt it or didnt even wanna try it. To be honest, ld prob pass on it myself

Shoutout the Powell Team & Dan for being there, I’m definitely going back once I feel better. I‘ve been recovering from a knee injury once I’m fully healed I think my little legs can do it 🤭 Thanks to everyone who watched. It was painful for me to watch 🥲

hey you're a champion!! To even attempt this is a huge feat of strength & I applaud you. You were so close!! I made an observation about the physics & just wanted to share. I think physics wise, at that speed the board just behaves irrationally. Because each attempt you had it but the transfer of energy makes the board really hard to control. If you watch it back in slow motion, you can see the weight shift to the tail & force has to go somewhere. But man you were so close & doing such a good job!! I'm sure at that speed things are really hard to control, I noticed when people land it they keep their center of mass in the middle and are more going with force. I think if you could control that force distribution you can easily land it. Maybe there's a way to practice with vert or other top speed areas because if you controlled that... smooth landing. In any event, that was impressive I hope you can land it!!

Undeniable bravery and skill. After skateboarding for over 25 years I can say that what you are trying is difficult and the consequences are large, even the smallest bit of doubt will cause failure. If you desire longevity in the industry, I suggest riding more conservatively. People already are going to notice you, you don’t have to impress them. Just my 2 cents, feel free to ignore it. I’m not the only person who was scared for your health, and not on a Karen kind of way, we just want to see you keep skating, being injured sucks. Mad respect.

I think I was more scared than anything & my body was giving out after the heat but it wasn’t a good day for me to just straight go for that with no warmup but no excuses I know I can definitely do it

I know no one wanted to coach her because they felt that they would be mansplaining but there were some really coachable moments. Also she should have practiced bombing the hill without the kickflip because the kickflip was irrevelent, the hard part was the transition in the bank. The impact is like jumping down a 12 stair and you have to be ready for it.

a softer wheel would help her to stick on that paint. Often times we forget to prepare enough. I think she can do it. Pads are also important.

The way she decided all those attempts to fill fledge huck it down that fuckin hill, holy smokes! Dude! And that wasn't even just your average huck, that was full commitment, full speed ahead, power blaster hucking!
