Mallory, Whenever I feel lonely I listen to your covers and it reminds me that there is still good left in the world. I am a little too obsessed with you right now and I wish I could have seen you on Broadway. You are my inspiration. You are perfect. You are beautiful. You are the reason I am holding on. I hope you know how much your voice moves people. I just turned 14 yesterday and it was one of the worst days of my life. Last night I thought back on how many moments I have had where I have felt so lost and so small. Those moments where I cut and made myself bleed, those moments where I didn't feel the need to be here anymore. I remember when I started my Dear Evan Hansen phase, and clicking on your video of "Requiem" because I thought you were the most gorgeous person to have ever walked this earth. I still find that true to this day. Your voice touches me in just the most whimsical way. You made me feel emotions besides sadness again. You make me feel like I belong and that I can aim to be as good as you someday, though that will never happen. I wish I could meet you someday, but I know that ultimately I never will. I know that this small incoherent comment from a 14 year old girl will never find it's way to you, but I still wanted to put this out there for some reason. I hope you know just how much your work really impacts people, and I also hope that you never have to feel as alone as I did before I first saw you.

I recently stumbled on this song, began to search for covers, and found this almost first thing. Damn good job! My only wish is that your pianist was playing more to suit your vocals rather than the rhythm of the sheet music. It seemed like some notes could have gone a beat or two longer to really emphasize their impact, but you had to keep up with the rhythm. I don't know if that makes sense in any musical terms, but that's the feeling I got. You have a wonderful voice, though!
