Definitely far from being the worst home hair dye job. Even though you made some mistakes along the way and your roots turned out much brighter than the lengths, it still was overall a very beautiful color and looked very pretty on you! And now that you have heard some of the best advice on doing your hair from the Hair Buddha, if you decide to do something similar in the future, you will have better chances of it turning out more closely to what you are trying to achieve without causing too much damage to your beautiful hair. Best of luck to you sweetheart and hope you are doing well! Good vibes sent to you from the USA 💟

I bleached my hair last year and I did my research! I used the jerome russell bleach and 30 vol, super fine diagonal sections and managed to feather the roots to make the grow out nicer. Lots of olaplex no3 treatments and I managed to go from a mid brown (around level 4-5) to a level 9 without too much damage. Took 2 rounds of bleach to get it nice and pale yellow and I went purple after

Thank you so much for the ginger is orange comment. I understand that what we call natural red hair is orange but when people are dying their hair and fashion colors and act as if natural red hair and red fashion hair are the same it makes me crazy. Or on other reaction videos when people are trying for a natural ginger hair color and certain hairdresser reactions (looking at you Brad Mondo) are “that’s just really orange” as if it’s a mistake. Ginger or natural red hair is orange. It just is. There is no such thing as natural red red hair. It’s as synthetic and fashion color as purple or blue or green.
@jessyjulie55063 жыл бұрын
I've seen a natural red hair, but it's very rare. Most of the time its orange. But in the english language, there used to be no word for the orange color.( It came into use because of the fruit)People just called it red.
@elinalukaziak6933 жыл бұрын
@@jessyjulie5506 girl no. "Natural red" hair like a fire engine isn't real. Ginger or auburn is natural.
@Julia-nl3gq Жыл бұрын
There is such a thing as natural red hair. I've seen it several times. One example is my cousin's wife, whose kids all have this dark red hair. It's not orange. It's red. Dark red. It looks like the colour of a red-brick building in the rain. All the kids have it, and that's five kids. Saying that 'ginger or natural red hair is orange' makes no sense at all. Orange is orange, and red is red. I'm not trying to be rude, but surely you can see that saying that 'red hair is orange' makes literally no sense. Ginger is a term that covers a spectrum, from orange to red. Also keep in mind that the term Ginger is only used in some parts of the world. Actually, as far as I know, it's only used in Europe. I only know what it means because I've spent time in Scotland/Ireland/England. Here (Canada), and the US, that is not the term for it. The term? Red-head. Because so many people with that type of hair have red hair. You also might be interested to know the reason red-heads have that colour hair. It's genetic. But the really fascinating part is that the genetic issue that causes this, the point of it is not to have red/orange hair, the point is to have exceptionally pale skin. To explain - red heads came from countries with very very little sunlight. Since that is deteremental to your health, ie very little vitamin D (which we get from sunlight), people in these countries (ie Scotland) developed a genetic mutation which causes their skin to be extremely pale. The red/orange hair is just a side effect of the mutaiton, not the purpose of the mutation. This mutation side effect specifically causes both orange and red hair. It's a scientific fact. Not that people need science to prove it, though, all you have to do is look around you, because there's red-haired people around.

Ooh you mentioning the "bleach and colour at the same time" product brings back a bad memory 😂 Went to my hairdresser and asked for a colour retouch in the burgundy red I had back then (my natural haircolour is dark blonde). She used this all-in-one product and when she washed it out, she said "Oh my god, nooo, sh**!". My hair was screaming PINK. It didn't look too bad, but the following day was my sons wedding.. She tried a coloured mask, but it didn't help much, so I attended the wedding in a little less screaming pink 😂 I'll send you a picture for your What I want vs what I got" videos if you like. Kind regards from Germany :-)

I personally like shadow roots. I have natural black hair, dark shadow roots can extend the time between colour for me with brighter fashion colours. Sometimes I will put a ‘refresher’ direct dye colour overtop and that will give enough of a sheen between my coloured and natural roots to kind of blend them a bit.
