Good morning dear Kripal - So we kickstart this unique series of vlog to explore relatively unknown / underrated eateries . Hello to Nisha 👋 co founder of Dhanyam Cafe . Liked their concept ; healthy options 👍 50% of their dishes are millet based 👌 Good kitchen tour . So the dishes are more TN style of cooking 👍 Their Thali is very reasonably priced 👌 The ghee rice looks scrumptious 😋 I love kitchen tours as one is able to understand and appreciate the finer nuances of their ingredients and cooking process 💯💯💯 Now it’s time to savour the dishes . The first one is the fox-tail millet Pongal . I believe one needs to develop a palate to relish the dishes . The Masala Vada looks awesome and your review was awesome. Ha ha ; that’s a new combo ; Pongal with the Masala Vada. Hello to the family ( proud of their cafe ) . Aunty is so happy with her Podi mix 🥰 Next dish is the BB Ba’ath and happy you relished the dish . Wow I love a hot & spicy BBB . You didn’t try the raita with the BBB . Is it because the curd has become sour to the weather . Love the look or the curry leaf idli ( quite unique ) . This is definitely a must-try dish 😋 Next dish is the Chilli garlic Idli - quite strong in its flavour & pungency 👍 Finally you had a combo with the chutney 😀 Now time to try the Raagi Idli with TN style sambhar 👌 Oh wow The Ragi Idli is a hit and a tad better than the other two idli variants . Dessert time - Sakara Pongal ( Pachcha Kapura is a quintessential element when we make the SP as it accentuates the flavour) is also a good hit 👍 You have candidly rated all the dishes you tasted in terms of your preference 👌👌 Finally some hot filter coffee ☕️ to end your lunch 👍 Great final review and I wish Dhanyam cafe all the best . Now they are guaranteed to have more customer footfalls post this vlog 🙏 Thoroughly enjoyed this vlog and so happy that the entire family of Nisha & her partner are whole heartedly supporting them 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thanks once again dear Kripal for dishing out this vlog for us . Take care and God bless 😇 Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead 👍👍

Hi Rajesh, hope you're having a good weekend. Glad you enjoyed this video, part of our ongoing initiative to shine a bit of light on eateries that are doing good work, but are largely unnoticed. It was certainly an interesting lunch, although I tried many a dish, I wasn't too weighed down by the burden of guilt, owing to their 'wholesomeness'. I enjoy kitchen tours too, allows me to delve deeper into the culinary philosophy of these places. Take care. Cheers!

It is a wrong notion that millets are easy to digest, olden days farmers who worked for 6 to 7 hours were comsuming millets, because one would not feel hungry. Today's scenario, one who doesn't walk at all is advised not to eat millets ,regularly, this is for gym goers. Few reknowned people have wrongly promoted this as general staple.

Sir, you are absolutely correct. Millets gives you energy to work for long hours . Nowadays people are mixing healthy habits of old generation with lazy habits of present generation and utilising for marketing purposes. Millets are working hard people.

Mr Uma Shankar It is the very fact that millets are not easy to digest that makes it healthy. The lady also said the same thing. It takes longer to digest so you are satisfied and full for longer. It is good for diabetics as you don't get a huge sugar spike after eating.
