We have alot of darkness in Sweden (basically dark 4pm to 8am between November and March and with very little sun). What I find to help is to lean into it, make it a thing and make it cozy. Also, being ok with the fact that you will feel way more tired than during the brighter month! Many also take vitamin D supplements because of the lack of sun, which can help 😊

Hey there. I live in nz also...but waaay down south, so yeah, i hear you, cold, dark winters 😢. During the first week the clocks go back I kind of have a freak out but then sort of sink into it and embrace it and end up kind of loving it. It's not too hot, not too cold (yet) perfect weather for getting out for some nice long runs or dog walks. I have kids, so have to prioritise my physical activity at this time of year. It's something you simply must make time for. All the best for the next couple of seasons! X

I get the winter blues too. I find it helps to do things you can’t do in summer. Like a super hot shower, fresh fluffy Pj’s have the fire going and snuggle up with a cup of tea and a movie. I also shut the curtains early so I don’t worry about how dark it is outside. The worst weather for me is when it’s rainy but still hot because I can’t do all the snuggly things I do in winter.

Hi Shannon. I'm from Waikato (Hamilton) and have had the injection for allergies in the past. It only works for 6 weeks and they (GP) won't let you have it every year, but it was nice to have a break from allergy life! Maybe try it for Dec/Jan? We are coming to the end of the season now though so hang in there! Love you ❤❤❤

Regarding the winter blues: my mum very kindly gave me a 6 month gym membership. I've been going a few times a week. I like to have a "dance party" on the treadmill and feel stronger from using the machines. It has definitely reduced my winter blues.

i live in texas and we have lots of oak and cedar pollen! i had such bad seasonal allergies (which I think is the equivalent to what yall call hay fever) that I was recommended by my allergist to do allergy shots and no joke, it was a life saver!! i went from allergies so bad that I was constantly getting sinus infections and dreading spring time, to barely having any seasonal allergies at all!!

It's funny I feel the opposite about cold weather. I live in Texas so way to hot out, and so I get trapped inside. Winter is the only time of year where I can enjoy the outdoors. Summer makes me so sad. So I try to plan exciting things to look forward to throughout the season 😊

I love, love this entire look! I think the color top you have on really looks pretty on you! The eye look is STUNNING!!! I wonder if you can still get that eyeshadow palette from What’s Up Beauty. It’s so gorgeous! I agree with you about fireworks! They should be left to the professionals and people can go watch! Last 4th of July my good friend was lighting fireworks off and one of the parts got stuck to his hand and he lost four fingers. It was career ending for him. He was a doctor who specialized in this specific heart pump and he can no longer do any surgeries of any kind. It was awful to see, awful for his kids and wife. He had to have multiple surgeries and it was a very long process to recover from. I wish I knew what to say about seasonal depression. I was born and raised in sunny ☀️ California. I moved almost a year ago to a very wintery climate and it rains for days it snows for days and days. I feel so cupped up and just blah! I’m so ready for the sun to come out!! I have a few favorite mascaras that I’ve been wearing and loving! YSL Lash Clash in the waterproof formula, the GXVE Beauty mascara and the mascara by One Size! I’m excited for the next PR Haul and testing new makeup ❤❤❤

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is incredibly brutal. I have always struggled with the 'winter blues' for as long as I can remember. I also dread the cooler months much like yourself, which then dampens the remaining of the summer period for me because I wholeheartedly resent summer coming to an end! Did you know that 1/3 of the Australian population suffers from SAD, and the statistics are about the same for those in the UK. 10% of the New Zealand population deals with seasonal affective disorder for about 40% of the year, and an average of 5% of the US population also struggles with seasonal affective disorder or similar symptoms. I don't know why it's not spoken about more, and our symptoms during this period are often just chalked up to our regular depression or other circumstances. I did do a post about this on my instagram a few weeks ago. Spreading awareness helps bridge the gap! Big love to all of you beautiful people who are struggling ❤

Shaaan X O. Do u remember when u & Chloe Morello hunv out i miss those hilarious fun u had at brand events? 😂. Was off of KZbin for years as a stranger tried to lure me into his car last Xmas eve. He grabbed my hair so violently my hebels were all bloodied. He stopped only for a second or few seconds. I swear I elbowed him as hard as i could & kicked him as hard as i could. I scrambled up Queen Street and hid behind a parked car expecting to see headlights coming. As it was Xmas eve the 2 cameras on pur high Strreet pne faving North one facing South. The cctv never captured me leaving the Royal Arch pub. Then the worst news 😪 he got away from behind caugt. The police actually said a young lad of tgat description 6" 5-6" blonde hair with the hair permed on top & siides ; bacj shaved short. Ive been diagnosed with ptsd & severe anxiety. Awaiting a 3 tear waiting list for EMDR treatment in Dundee. Im certainly not the once confident bubbly strong lass . Im terrified most of the time. I shall defeat this 💯 positive i shall never ever let a man feel like i do now. Thanks kindly for talking the time to read this 🙏 xxxxx❤
