It's the usual storyline. They went through something as kids so she marrys him as repayment. He thought the 2fl was the one from childhood. He does terrible things to the fl. Only the last two mins of the movie does he he feel regret. He almost dies for he in the last minute( literally) and all looks like it will be forgiven. only 1/5 stars for me. He didn't grovel nearly enough.

I don’t understand the fl’s concept of divorce. If she feels that she is not loved, is neglected and is also mistreated by her husband and his family. That, in itself is one of the perfect reasons to then divorce, wouldn’t anyone agree?! But, Why go through a divorce after making a careful decision in the first place, only to go back to ml and for the same situations you divorced him for?! This makes a misleading assumption that women shouldn’t and could not divorce. Maybe I’m just missing something here to fl’s storyline. But, I don’t find it being back together is a happy ending to a miserable marriage. AGAIN already with the STABBED RESCUE!!!🤯🫨 and the FORGOTTEN FORGIVENESS BS! (sorry I’m just angry this morning)

I have loved this ML in every other drama I've watched - but in this one I hate his character (not the actor!), I'm 52mins into the movie & he has no redeeming features. From other commenters I know I'm going to be disappointed by the ending 😢Directors/produces/script writers need to stop this nonsense theme of women returning to abusers. Maybe he can be redeemed, but it shouldn't be by the FL. Edit *Spoiler*: Ugh, he found out she was his childhood saviour? Really, that's the reason for his sudden attack of conscious? Stabby-trope. I like the FL and the grandmother. Spoilers: Grandmother actually scolds ML several times and is very supportive of FL . ML is accusatory/cold/rude until five minutes from the end. There’s a brief recollection where FL is having a miscarriage and ML couldn’t care less. I would be done with that marriage at that point. This story has the “money makes you important” theme. Didn’t like the grandmother telling FL that the MIL would eventually come to see the FL‘s benefits - 3 years of poor treatment is too long. FL cares for the ML for three months after stabby -incident. That wasn’t a full smile she gave him at the end. I think there’s room for her to not completely return to him, or at least he’ll have to work for it. (I hope) I don’t think three years of cold dismissal is made up for in five minutes.

Domestic Violence Alert: I am very disappointed in Yu Long taking on such wife battering roles. He is better than this. The ML he plays clearly doesn’t have a brain to just accept the annoying claims of the mistress. The torment the FL suffered from the ML, the mistress and his family was cruel and unforgivable. It’s not ok in any shape or form to constantly physically brutalise, abuse, torture and humiliate to the fact mentally, emotionally draining FL. c around the world
