Kiss frontman Gene Simmons expresses appreciation for his late mother Flora Klein as he reveals how she survived a Nazi concentration camp.
Simmons' mother survived the concentration camps as a 12-year-old girl using her hairdressing skills and by keeping her ability to speak German a secret.
The rockstar praised his mother for being his rock and “moral compass” throughout his life.
“My mother lived to be 94 years of age and always told me, ‘everyday above ground is a good day’, and I take that with me wherever I go,” he told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.

I will never forget when he told a story about him and his mother, when they first arrived in America they were very poor, he remembered his mother letting him drink the juice from a tin of, I think it was peaches and he said that the juice tasted like nectar to him and as he drank it he thought of America as the greatest country in the world and he would always be proud to be American.

I watched him telling the story about coming to America when he was in Amsterdam and he visited the Anna Frank museum and he came close to a nervous breakdown. Just being in that museum really messed his head up, which is understandable considering his mother's past

You just reminded me of a video I was watching on KZbin a couple of days ago, the person commentating made an Anne Frank joke which I thought was disgusting, I was liking the video but I let him know what I thought about the joke.

What an admirable relationship between mother and son! And all the essence of it put into Gene's children. I am 55 and always when visiting (often..and now even only) my mum, I embrace and kiss her when leaving. Remembering Gene's "command" for each child - to show love and thanks to mothers everytime you are together. ( and I know I'm not good son enough...)

The will to power vs the will to serve. The will to serve wins every time. The meek will inherit the earth. Matthew 5:43-48 New International Version Love for Enemies 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” The Catholic templated 4th Reich run by an Irish Catholic and Khazar Ashkenazi Jewish mafia of will to power should remember that.
