This case and Cody’s loss has always been so confusing, completely senseless, and sad as hell. I understand how damaging high demand religions and purity culture can be but like, did Jordan even like Cody at all?! Desperate to be a wife and mom but terrified to consumate the Marriage to the point of murder? How did she think those kids were going to get here? I wish she would’ve been honest and just asked to go slow. With the way he was willing to do anything for her, I’m sure he would’ve obliged. Seems she just wanted a wedding an nothing else. Cody deserved better. May he RIP 💕🙏🏾

I 100% believe the blindfold theory. Her confession doesn't even make sense. If he had grabbed her and she pushed him off he would have been facing her so he would have fallen backwards and not face down. However if she's guiding him from behind she could easily walk him right up to the cliff edge and push him off with out him ever realize what's happening until it's too late.
@SouthernMimi2 Жыл бұрын
Yes I feel this theory definitely has substance to it. I thought that as well, he would have been facing up if she had pushed him backwards. Also why would he have willingly gone over the barrier? The blindfold makes sense. He loved her so much and probably whole heartedly trusted her.

I would have thought the sex aspect of the whole thing would have crossed her mind if she was that scared about it. I mean it's weird that it just dawned on her on the wedding night? I think it was premeditated on her part because that's a dangerous place to go walking at night. I love the way these "religious people" are embarrassed to get divorced but killing someone is A-Ok! Nuts! That's such a sad story.
@perfectlyimperfect_8528 Жыл бұрын
Omg this case is WILD!!! I’ve done a lot of research on this one, & it just baffles me. I feel as if the only reason she went through w the wedding is bc she has always dreamt of having her “fairytale wedding”. However, she didn’t want to do all the things that wives do. And if s*x was really that terrifying of an activity for her, I feel as if having a conversation w her HUSBAND and/or getting some therapy/counseling would’ve gone a long way. Certainly it would’ve been a better option then pushing him of a cliff!! Idk, people are so complicated & almost impossible to understand, but this case i particularly and the reason(s) it happened are in a whole different level of complexity & confusion for me

It is also said that Cody has a deep fear of heights, he would never go to that part of the cliff. He was also was blindfolded for most of the trip because it was planned by Jordan, she told him she had a surprise before leading him to the cliff and pushing him off. I think he thought they both were going to fix their relationship and she was going to promise him something sexual before being pushed off. I don’t know why she couldn’t tell him she was scared of sex and they could go to therapy and talk about it and see what to do from there, he shouldn’t have to die because she didn’t want to talk about her feelings on the topic

I don't think they fought. I don't believe she ever told Cody how she felt. I think she told him she had a surprise for him maybe he thought it was going to be some romantic thing not necessarily an intimate thing and she got him over the safety wall and pushed him. She could have easily ended the relationship at anytime even before the marriage and even before he proposed but she didn't. I don't think she loved him but for whatever reason her religion, her family, self pressure she married Cody because she believed she was supposed to. She realized there was no way to walk away innocent. She would be the bad guy no matter what. I know there are people who because of certain religious upbringing they have serious issues with sex whether it's fear of it, feeling dirty anytime they do it, some even go mentally someplace else to be able to do it. I also know there are people that just aren't intimate they just don't have any desire for it. Those things are fine and understandable but you still have to communicate how you feel to the person you are with, if you want a non-sexual marriage it's possible but you have to find someone that also wants that. There were just too many times she could have walked away even an annulment could have been done which is not divorce but she just kept going. If you have to ask if you are doing the right thing clearly you don't want to do it but something is pushing you to. I feel for Cody's family and friends my heart breaks for his mother and I believe there's more to Jordan's decision to even marry him than we know and ultimately it was a choice made in cowardice.

I personally believe Jordan planned the entire thing. The idea of having sex w Cody was just too much for her…. But the idea of being a widow, especially when they were married less then 2 wks was better then getting a divorce or annulment for Jordan So yeah she planned on killing her husband & play the grieving widow. Although she couldn’t even pretend to care enough about Cody to fake being sad about his death. She’s pure evil in my opinion

I think that every single person that contributed and encouraged that wedding should feel guilty. They saw that girl did not want to marry him. If she did not want to have sex with him, then him trying to have sex with her likely felt like coercion. Jordan had an ideal of marriage, but did not want the man or the marriage. She devised a plan to get herself out. It was a dumb, selfish, murderous plan.

I was raised in a Christian household and was taught to wait until marriage. I was never scared of sex or taught to be scared of it. Every household is different, but once you get married your bodies are officially each others. Once the time is right, you go for it. It was their honeymoon and she still wasn’t with it? When that’s usually expected on a honeymoon! I just think she wasn’t feeling him to begin with. Probably tried to give it a chance because she wanted to be married so badly. Instead she should have went with her gut and said no to even dating and he would still be alive and with someone who ACTUALLY cared about him. Smh it’s a sad tragedy and she is EXTREMELY selfish for taking away that first moment from him! 😭

I think that Jordan is a coward. She loved the idea of marriage which is why she went through with it even though she didn’t love Cody. She didn’t have it in her to reject Cody’s proposal since she loved the idea of marriage no matter who it was with. Jordan couldn’t even bring herself to tell Cody about her feelings towards sex. Jordan should have told Cody about her discomfort with sex and should have talked about it with him before marriage. It seems she didn’t communicate well with Cody. If Jordan didn’t love Cody then she should have talked about it with Cody earlier and shouldn’t have said yes to his proposal. If Jordan had communicated her feelings with Cody then none of this would have happened. They could have worked something out or they would have split and found someone else that truly made them happy. It seems that the relationship was very one sided with Cody being the only one making an effort while Jordan wasn’t doing anything. Even the love was one sided with Cody being in love with her while Jordan didn’t feel the same way.

I think she was raised in religion and due to that she had to do what she thought was the right thing by getting married and waiting to have sex but I think she might have struggled with the feelings of men not being what she was attracted to. Yes I think she prefers women and her grandmother was the only one who knew it. I dont think this young person set out to 'hurt' anyone but being brought up so strict in her beliefs after she got married she finally just told her husband thinking he would love her anyway and just be patient until she could handle sex but he wasn't and asked for a divorce so she snapped and killed him. And I think he had EVERY right not to want to 'wait', he had already waited until they were married and NOW she is finally telling him the truth, I would expect him to run as fast as he could away from this liar! Thats just what I think anyway.
