Destroyed my father. My mom died from cirrhosis, at the age of 47 "I was 16". That almost killed him. Then 2 years later we had to bury my oldest brother who was only 24, he was in the back seat of a friend's car, and the guy driving was notorious for being reckless, speeding when he got wasted. This time was his last, and he veered off the road and hit a giant oak that morbid as it sounds already claimed two people. Anyway my dad was never the same after that. He started showing signs of alcohol induced Dementia. He finally passed away around Memorial Day 2015. I miss everyone.

Well, that's the real world 🌎 we live in folks ! Don't bring children into this evil place. Be realistic when bringing children to this world, Be realistic that children go to their graves before their parents do. Too many young graves and it will continue to be that way ,it won't ever change. Get used to it! This comment is cold but true and all of you know it!

@Kelly Smith I misread your comment the exact same way he did. It sounded like you said that your parents forced you to do bad things, from the way you phrased it. I’m in graduate school and am certainly not stupid, and neither is he. When you jumped on him, I looked and saw that a different spelling I missed (because it was correct, but poorly phrased) changed the meaning. Not so clearly, you were saying that you didn’t have a chance to “be a kid” because you had a lot of challenges early on. So did I, and so did just about everyone who grew up in poverty. You don’t know much about bad decisions, though. People who had to grow up too fast and endure early trauma are the ones who are most likely to become overwhelmed and become addicted to drugs, etc., whether early or later in life. Yes, that is my area of expertise... I am just going back for an LADC to make more money. So if you’re still feeling superior, it’s likely you had some advantage that others don’t. I get it that you had a lot to deal with when you were (or should have been) in school. I did, too...but at least I can still clearly express ideas or check my writing if someone doesn’t understand me, without assuming it’s their fault and lashing out at them. That’s nothing to get high and mighty about.
@heidiho5179
@heidiho5179 3 жыл бұрын
@Kelly Smith I’m working on a Master’s degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling, and that’s a myth about addiction. People from all class, race, and other groups are affiliated. Addiction does not discriminate. It does differentially affect people who have experienced severe trauma and negative experiences in life, rich or poor. Look at Bobbi Christina Brown R. I. P. 🌹. Once a person has tried a drug, it begins rewiring the brain, literally building and erasing brain pathways and reorganizing neuronal networks, especially as the behavior is repeated. We know that, faster than you would think, the frontal lobes and prefrontal cortex stop working well, which means that using the drugs is not a choice anymore because you need those areas of the brain to make choices. With drugs, you become the victim of a hardwired decision that was made for you at whatever point. It is not known, in every instance, how fast drug use becomes involuntary but many have reported it was not a choice for them after the first time. Brain research strongly supports this assertion. In other words, people may see their friends using drugs and try them, not knowing that they have some sort of predisposition to addiction, and not be able to stop after the first time. it’s hard to identify those people because it’s usually a combination of genes and traumatic experiences. In the case of addictive substances, anyone will become dependent on the chemical if they repeat the behavior enough. I thought just like you did when I was younger and avoid those kinds of bad decisions but had to use medicines to stop pain when I was older, which I ended up becoming addicted to. That’s happened to millions of people one strong pain medicines were being routinely prescribed, and for pharmaceutical companies are now being sued. Why? Because anyone will become dependent on an addictive drug that is given for a long period of time, and the companies were lying about the effects of the drug. Rich, middle class, and poor people alike were all affected, as well as a lot of white, black, and other people who didn’t fit any stereotype. Hard-working people professionals... The opiate epidemic has really changed minds about this. I went through treatment to quit opiates in 2016, and have no trouble with them now. I really feel bad that I used to judge my dad for his drinking and drug abuse, because I know know he was suffering from a disease and didn’t want to be an addict. There are a lot of great books on the subject for anyone open to learning, by Gabor Mate, David Sheff, Maia Szalavitz, and Marc Lewis is the brain researcher I cited. They also have videos on KZbin. I don’t fault you at all for believing the way you do because I used to, too. I’ve met so many incredible, ambitious, classy people in the recovery community and I’ve lost 2 people in my family to alcohol and the opiate epidemic. One was a businessman owned multiple properties, and another was perhaps the smartest person I’ve met. People with addictions are such a huge source of lost potential at all deserve to get well, like I am!

People like that often accuse others of snitching, sleeping with one of their friends, etc. It's a form of paranoia. This guy probably accused Rachel of betraying him somehow. That's why one should NEVER associate with people living crazy lives. Even people living "normal" lives can be crazy. But when people are obviously living crazy lives, that's a red flag to avoid them. They have serious psychological problems that they are not dealing with but rather try and channel into gang lifestyles or other types of rebellious/dysfunctional behavior.

Yeah unfortunately many bad decisions were made all around. Getting involved with anyone in a gang is terrible idea. But once again, doesn't justify her being murdered. Thanks debbie, apparently you watching and supporting the memories of the victims 💔💔

She prayed in her last moments. I am sure she realized her mistake but committed her soul to God who seemed so far away. I am absolutely convinced the Lord who knew all things allowed her to leave this earth early knowing that if she had lived on and stayed on with the gang, perhaps her heart could turn against Him. We will never understand 99.99% of things that happen here on earth till we reach the other side. In our hearts we will rejoice when we meet the others who had kept their hearts from evil in this temporary pilgrimage.
