I didn't want to be negative so I never said this before but just watching Izzie's body language, I constantly got this impression of uncertainty and discomfort. On this final video none of that was present. Makes me think that she was rather ill suited for the lifestyle and was confused about it for most of the time we saw her onscreen. Then at the end she had her stuff figured out and you could see the happiness and confidence emanating from her. People do tell me I over analyze stuff so don't take me too seriously on this...

I didn't notice the body language you mentioned, but I always assume these videos tell an edited story so I probably analyze them less. I didn’t think it was a lifestyle suited for a girl. Its different for a guy. No bathrooms or regular showers and no space from each other. Plus how can she make her own money if she can’t have regular job. Or see her friends and family. She is a trooper to do it for this long. The other girl had her own jeep and school plans etc going on which is very healthy.

I don't know about gender being a factor. Known a lot of girls who look cute and dainty but are tougher than rail road spikes. My ex is a thin wisp of a Russian girl but when we were living out of our car because of an earthquake, she did better than I. But I agree that there is a bad power dynamic going on. I doubt Jake ever made her feel like her voice didn't count but it's still hard to speak up when your partner makes all the money, owns all the gear, is the only one who knows how to get a lot of the necessities taken care of and has any idea about what to do and where to go next.

Not surprised. Izzy is one of those free spirits, like back when I was young in the days of the Hippies. They also traveled around, joined communes, and were searching for "something." Most never found it and returned to the corporate world. Izzy did add a new dimension to Jake's travels. Hopefully when they both get over this stage of their lives they will meet again. Basically, I agree, but at some point one has to start planning for financial support of raising a family and for old age, which in most cases means some time spent in the "rat race." Of course, a precious few of us are able to find that happy point where vocation melds with avocation so that all work is pleasure.

I hear ya r g. Interestingly, that's the very reasons I left the rat race. I got tired of bosses telling me when and if I can see my kids do this, go to an event, or be home for a holiday meal. That gave me the motivation I needed to leave the rat race and be a stay at home dad. That meant I could spend after school with the kids, and work in the middle of the night if I had to. Nope, it's not easy. But the kids were what made me reach deep. Now that I'm an empty nester, it's even easier. :) All the best!

This was never going to last. Both come from different backgrounds and have different goals. They fell in love, YES, but they were living Jake's dream, not Izzy's dream. Izzy was slowly losing her identity, especially as she never said anything on-screen or she would have started gaining the love and admiration of some of the followers here and maybe even gotten about half or more of Jake's subscribers to also subscribe to her own channel, if she had an active one. She would have grown her own channel fast, if she had an active one and was talking on-screen. Jake makes money while he is traveling. Izzy does not make money while she is traveling with Jake. So, it is costing Jake a lot more money to take care of both of them (oh, plus Annie), while Izzy probably finished all her small savings while on the road. So Izzy may at some point become dependent on Jake for money for a small thing like soda. Not a good feeling! She becomes a liability at that point. Izzy was just there for the ride and had to do whatever Jake wanted to do. And very little of what she wanted to do. She truly was losing her identity. It is time to part ways. She has her own goals in life. She is FREE now. Go out to the world, explore and write YOUR own story Izzy.

The new chapter thing is just a polite way of saying, I'm no longer into her or she's no longer into me, or both. Basically how this works. Side note: Either way she's a keeper and personally, I'd be gutted.
