Gigi is one of the reasons why I love listening to covers. It gives artists opportunities to show other sides of them and all that they can do not just their personal style. Plus, it gives me newer appreciation for songs I would otherwise not like (example Unholy by Sam Smith: I didn't care for it until Gigi sang it). You need to see her Better Days cover. I swear you won't be disappointed. I insist!!! 😃 Edit: All her performances on their livestream are requests from viewers. They do rehearse popular songs and all time favorites. @counterreaction yes, ever since some streaming stuff she and her band performed from a small garage size studio during Covid went viral on the Internet, she got signed up by ABS-CBN (same TV network as Morissette) and Star Records (the label Morissette worked for before). Interesting how the big shots who had her just working as a sidekick for an afternoon comedy show after she got known through a singing contest there suddenly were eager to sign her. But good that finally she got her break. Compare the studio she is performing in for Decode with the one for Unholy. The latter was the small garage studio, the former is in the second floor of her and her mom's new place. If you are interested in seeing where she came from, check out her video "Homecoming" with subtitles. She also has a vlog, but that's without subtitles. Gigi deserves the success she has now.
