That deer pin! One of cutest deer I've ever seen! I had one of those little spiral-bound dictionaries (at about 4:00 ) in 7th grade. Haven't seen one of those in forever. The pipe pouch is probably just that. You would keep your pipe and pipe tobacco in it. Great finds!

That being said, I bought a decent battery op megaphone for $13 off Amazon, because I got sick of yelling to the wombcubs from the mainfloor, to either the upper or lower floors, lol. I used to live going to the mall near me, especially at Christmastime. They used to decorate so beautifully. Santa was in a beautiful and festive setting, and I would go several days a week during the season for the ambiance. I would walk the mall, with a coffee from starbucks, enjoying the ambiance and spending money. I would stay for lunch many times and even see a movie in their theater. About four years ago they got rid of the festive wreaths and swags and removed Santa's workshop. They replaced it with an "ice palace" that is light blue and purple and features no presents, elves or other holiday figures, but rather features polar bears, deer and penguins. It is depressing and I do not set foot in that mall the entire Christmas shopping season.

Thanks for taking us along! We were all set to go to the flea market this morning but Little Olive was coughing and it was pretty cold so we canceled...maybe tomorrow Wish we had an indoor market around here The keep on trucking patch was nice, probably would sell for $15 or so Robert Crumb is always in demand, one of the great American cartoonists and illustrators. I’ve met him a few times ( I sort of know his sister, she lives in my town) and he is a very interesting person to say the least ! 😃 Neat tobacco pouch, think pipes and accessories are becoming more popular, I’ve done very well with some though I will admit they are somewhat of a mystery to me. Keep an open for biker wallets, they are in demand. I think events like this were they restrict the entrance builds up the desire of people to buy something. Used to be a guy at local flea market that would put a rope up around his spot and you wasn’t allowed in till a certain time and he would drop the rope! Did seem to gin up buyers.

That was pretty cool event. I live in far south so our summer time is when that would be weather appropriate. A/C yes! It reminded me of the day after Christmas sale I went to once at a major fine goods department store attached to mall. They opened all the doors around the one store in different locations. I just happened to be by the housewares / Christmas section when the doors opened. People literally pushed, ran and leaped to get out ahead of everyone. I couldn't see but I could hear......Crashing of china, glass you name it. It was such a disgusting experience. My sister and I were able to get some really nice ornaments and linens for our next Christmas. And there we were the following year too. That was enough for us. No more. The only other time I have seen a setup in a mall was our local Junior League held a garage sale of stuff for used and new stuff donated for causes in our town. Best garage sale ever. They had expensive stuff. Designer cloths, furs, purses, shoes and jewelry. And bottom of barrel stuff too. I make some great finds in boxes not sorted before sale under a couple of tables. Haul!
@parisgreen46005 жыл бұрын
One of our local churches has their sales set up like the Junior League - nothing is priced and half of it is still in boxes - you just gather up what you want and then go find someone with a cash apron and they will give you a (very low) price!

Hiya Renee, wow what a scene! Seeing those 2 people come out of nowhere, walk right thru while everyone was waiting seemed v rude. I’ll give the benefit of doubt, perhaps they thought waiting was for something in particular, figured they’d go in as they were curious... but even me who’s honest to a fault has a hard time w/ that scenario. @ 3.11 the pair of white candlesticks were v pretty; if wrought iron they used to demand high prices would have to look at comps now (I’d remove the white paint, leave black as that’s what always sold well). Would’ve snatched up for myself as I’m big on candlelight, candles of all types in every single room! It’s a fab idea to do this w/ all the “dying” malls. Wish they’d do near me, if I can do a flea mkt in a bar, this would be easy peasey! The black pin looks like the French beads on one of my Victorian blouses! Prob newer, but gorgeous! I was yelling at you (again like you can hear, I’m Looney Tunes!) to get the panther/ big cat pin, so glad you did! Quick look, I thought I saw different coloured diamanté spots & thought it was a leopard? The sleigh pin looks like Santa fell in & his boots were sticking out, maybe? (Hard to see.) “Duckie” (now I’ve got “Pretty In Pink” running thru my brain, feh could be worse😉) was perfect, would’ve been shocked if you didn’t get him. Glad the man is alive but 😞 he cast away Duckie. 😀 he found a good home w/ you! The deer pin😮, so sweet! The “keep on truckin’” patch was *everywhere* back in the late 60s-70s, it’s by cartoonist/illustrator Robert Crumb. Are they going to do this all winter while the fleas are closed? Hope so, looks like much treasure to be found if you dig. Great finds, well done! Have a lovely weekend! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️🦇🦇🦇
