Another Really good video. Excellent description of all that is happening with the lamb and wool. Chris is as you say an outstanding shearer with good control of the lamb and care of the fleece. We have grass seeds now and will be shearing remaining lambs as soon as our shearer is available.

Hi David, I am glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately I found out that Chris is retiring from shearing. I hope your shearing went smoothly. Thanks from Geoffrey

I know you haven't used any audio from the shed in this video, but watching the shearing brings back memories from so long ago, it's like I can hear the shears, etc in the video.

Hi Jim I am glad you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately the music the shearer’s had in the background gives me copyright issues on the video if I use the audio. I a, glad you can imagine it. Thanks from Geoffrey

Don’t know a thing about shearing sheep but looks like back breaking work even with the supports they use. Looks as though you are doing some sorting of grades of wool?

Hi Cindy, yes shearing is a very hard job on your back, but they can also make very good money. For lambs wool we sort long and short wool and take out all the hocks, bellies and top knot. For full grown sheep there are more catogeries we sort into. Thanks from Geoffrey
