Late to the party but WOW that is a gentle and patient ram, especially for his size. He’s obviously super used to people and has been gently handled a lot since he was a lamb! I bet he could be halter trained if the hair on his face wasn’t so perfect. Melissa Trader you are faulting Cammy for try to save an orphan lamb. He is also trying to help a grieving sheep that just lost her kid. You must not support farmers or understand that he only skins dead lambs to save others from dieing. Cammy is not sick or twisted. You should apologize for trying to put Cammy in a bad light.
@colleenuchiyama4916 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s a standard procedure. It also used to be standard in some places to literally bite the testicles off the ram lambs. Apparently it was easier on them pain and health-wise. But now they use a giant rubber band thing to wither them off, and I guess it’s more painful for them.

@@colleenuchiyama4916from what I’ve seen and read the rubber band method is painless and much more humane.

There are other ways of saving a baby sheep than cutting its skin off and putting it on another animal sorry now that's disgusting there other ways of doing that
@sharonkaczorowski8690 Жыл бұрын
@@melissatrader8528No there isn’t. The other lamb was dead and felt nothing. It’s fleece saved a lamb in need of help to survive. It might be distasteful but it’s necessary. While an orphan lamb can be bottle-fed, the chance of survival for an orphan is much, much better if it can nurse naturally. Placing the dead lamb’s fleece on the orphan tricks the mother into thinking it’s her lamb and immediately bonding with the orphan, saving its life. I understand it was hard for you to watch, but I saw it as a blessing.
