Great video!!! Love the use of the hooks for the weed whackers. For the dripping oil, instead of using the rags, fill the tins with cat litter. Absorbs the oil amazingly and kills the odor too.

Best part is how you hung the weedeaters. A lot of DIY KZbinrs hang weedeaters and chainsaws vertically which I think is bad because they contain gasoline.. I think you did it right by hanging them the way they are designed to sit.

Fantastic video! Looking to organize a new shed, and honestly I've not considered security! Excellent recommendations!

I watched this video for the security ideas. I love the widow idea and the door lock. I have not seen them before. I would suggest however that you have over looked 1 item that could use improvement. The hinges on your door are exterior and would be easy to remove. 👍🏻

Yes I addressed the hinges. Removed the screws and replaced them with bolts that go all the way through.

I would suggest kitty litter in drip pans under your saws ilo the rags.

Like the window idea. No windows on my 8x8 shed. Trying to sell it actually. Gets so humid inside during the summer that I don’t want to store anything nice in there. So many black widow looking spiders in there too.

You may want to beef up the hinges. Looks like a claw hammer could open the doors at the hinges.
@EnthusiastsGarage4 жыл бұрын
good advise. I reinforced the hinges by replacing the screws with bolts that go all the way thru and added large washers.

I have a Ring Security system and added a door sensor to the shed. I am sent alerts if the door opens. Luckily the WiFi in the house reaches the shed.

Is your shed still standing? I saw those "oily rags" and started to worry. "Oily rags can spontaneously combust, or ignite without an external heat source, when they go through a chemical process called oxidation."

Did you swap out the bolts on the main door hinges? If they aren’t hex or Philips head then your upgraded locks are pointless. Just a thought!
@EnthusiastsGarage4 жыл бұрын
great suggestion. i made that todays project and upgraded the lock as well.

Nice job, but don’t collect oil on folded up rags. Could spontaneously combust. Put sand in the drip pan instead, or figure out why so much oil is dripping.

Entering an unlocked door is trespassing, enter a locked door is " breaking and enter " ..... big difference in a court of law .
