If you still want a sort of drip loop, tie a piece of bailing twine (or rope) with an end hanging down from the flexible conduit. May not look super nice, but it'll redirect water

This channel represents, in my opinion, the pinnacle of fire alarm content. You've got field work, hobby systems, and everything in between. I really like this particular type of video because this is the kind of stuff that we the viewers might be able to do on our own; maybe not on a full-on Notifier panel, but perhaps a conventional Honeywell Vista security and fire panel. I don't have a house right now and it'll be many years before I do, but this is the kind of stuff that I dream of doing. Keep it up!

This is cool af! I stayed home from school yesterday and turned the storage room into my panel room. It contains the breaker, paper fire alarm and a irl pull station taped on the wall. But I was thinking while putting the pull station up what would I need to do if I actually made a real one. So this is cool! @@nics-systems-electric Its cool to see that your putting systems and devices in real situations following real standards. I have not seen too many others on KZbin doing both these things. Its neat to see a bunch of devices slapped on a demo board or randomly stuffed in a building but even cooler to see realistic systems and proper methods for installation as if the buildings needed to follow the rules. You can't always show everything in the field doing your job so your home is a great way to provide the educational aspect on the systems. Keep up the great work.

Nic, if you ever feel like it get yourself a digital trunking scanner to listen to the police and fire, schools etc. and the aircraft band for example mine has Noaa Weather Radio aka Weather Radio Canada also it comes in handy my friend i highly recommend you get one and program it.

10:08 - I've never used a impact wrench on framework attached to a drill bit for this very reason - seizing. I would use a normal drill so that the bit on that thick would does not auger in and cause you to stop and back out, start again. That's just me, but is a tip for you the next time.

That's all we usually use. It's much much safer and impact driver will never bind and snap your wrist like a drill will.

Internet cable like cat 6 is not large enough and does not have the rating for fire alarm use. security systems will use smaller gauge wires like 22 but there is no benefit to using twisted pair cable. It is often PA systems though.

No that would require the house to be sprinkled as you would need water supply which would have to come from the house which would be a lot of destructive work. not to mention that shed is not heated as for why we are installing a heat detector.

Was just a random thought considering there was many flammable objects and sprinklers do give a more immediate suppression response especially when no one is home. But yeah, you would have to tear a bunch of stuff up and mess with ur house’s main plumbing to make that work. Plus, I’m not sure the shed is properly insulated and could lead to the sprinkler system freezing up.

I believe they do make a barb adaptor fitting for PEX I'm not sure if they make something similar for hoes or if you could make something up that would adapt it maybe you could use a pex fitting on hose I've never tried not meant for it but might work

thank you I am in the U.S it seems the best idea I could come up with at the moment was I ordered a 1/2 inch to 3/8 reducer barb so If found that it would seem the answer is attach a 3/8 pvc and if I am using this as some type of garden hose or something one you have the right size hose you clamp on the barbed nozzle tip it looks like we have found a solution of course maybe I bet be sure I still need that thing as one part I would need for it cost about 100.00 ( I would rather not say what I am doing but I have a highly specialized project if can afford it which I dont know if I will be able to but its nice to know there should be a theoretical solution thank you ) !!!!

Usually there is a pole with a detector tester that has a can of fake smoke in it gets released once pressed against the ceiling and is contained in the head of the tester over top of the smoke detector purpose is to functionally test the detector
