Anthony and Roxanne have made their sheds into a great couple of homes. It just shows me how sheds are so much more functional these days. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Your barndominium will be fun to watch develop too. I'm in east Tennessee. Been here eight years now. It's a wonderful place to live.

Tim, a 12 x 20 with a ramp would be a good idea, what would be a GREAT idea is this! Have them but up an 8 x 8 with a ramp and the other end open. When they set the two together, put the 8 x 8 about midway on the backside! You bring a bike in then turn 90 degrees and go out the second ramp. You can come in or go out either ramp. With only one ramp, you would be forced to back it down the ramp because of no room to turn around. That is a recipe for disaster! Think it all the way through. OR, attach a carport, side it totally, and put a gate at each end, both gates fully sided. Drive in one gate, out the other. No dangerous maneuvering! Maybe make it wide enough for the pickup to fit and protect from hail! ❤❤

@RidgeLife Tim, I will be 74 in July, I bought a 2 wheel Scooter with a seat. It had been so long since I had ridden a bicycle, ebike or motorcycle, my balance is Gone! I ride around the neighborhood, hoping the balance will get better, some, but it's slow! Max speed on my scooter is 20 mph. It is the slow tight quarters area I absolutely suck at. That is why I am trying to get you thinking, either one way in, one way out! But the best idea is the carport, totally privacy siding and a gate on each end, and 2x wide for truck to protected from hail damage, looks even smarter after seeing how Houston got beaten-up by storms! The side of the carport next to the shed, would need minimal siding. Hope that helps, I have had blood clots in both legs, and went through bypass surgery for each, I know about weak legs, as do you. It is like where you work, planning the safety into the build is 10x's cheaper before the emergency. If your truck was totaled by the insurance company due to severe hail damage, you can't go to the dealers and drive away with a new one! There is that backlog of orders! Think it through! ❤️❤️

Thanks for showing us around Tim. Some of those are REALLY nice. In 2018 I bought a 12x40 barn style with a metal roof for under 10k delivered. Those sheds look to be well built, but man has the price gone up. 😮 Good luck getting moved to the ridge. #GOoffgridlife 😁

I guess this is similar to modular homes that are actually build indoors and delivered intact to private land and all the finishing touches completed onsite. They come in all shapes and sizes and are beautiful. Possibly this might be a consideration for some people that have land and not wanting to build from scratch.

❤ I think you are on the right track with this option for solar system with all of the batteries that you will need. I think you should get one just for solar power only like the smaller studio. Insulate it for longer lasting battery life. If anything goes wrong like a fire or anything dangerous with the batteries everything will be contained in 1 building.
@RidgeLife4 ай бұрын
That’s kinda the plan with the separate power house.

house /hous/ noun A structure serving as a dwelling for one or more persons, especially for a family.
