Is The Royalton St Lucia room 8003 THE best room?

All the rooms at The Royalton in St Lucia are pretty much the same, with the exception of the bigger suites - we saw inside of one, they're huge! but they're also not in my price range! :)
Room 8003 is a bit special though: it has its own plunge pool with direct access onto the beach and a wonderful view over the Caribbean sea. You can walk around the side of the swim-up pool and onto the beach, it's only about 25 yards from the sea. It's not too noisy either, it's actually quite a quiet resort, the only intrusion to the quiet is the aqua aerobics and that isn't terribly loud or long. The one thing that the video fails to mention is that room 8003 doesn't really get the sun until mid morning due the the wall on the left as you go out. That's no biggy though!
In this video I take you on a tour of the main reception and then a walk down to the Diamond Club, it's reception, the pool and bar, and then round the front of Block 8 to the Watersports, and beach bar. Then there's a tour of room 8003. If you just want to see the room, cut to 27mins and 35 seconds!!

So if you have that exact room do you still have to upgrade to "diamond" it's really really confusing!

This place looks gorgeous. Would you recommend. I love that it has the prettiest sunsets. How is the food overall.

Great video and review. Flying out on the 27 Feb 2024 and booked the swim up Diamond club. How can I book room 8003, I am flying with Tui.

I phoned the hotel direct before we went. There was a small premium to pay ... but it's worth it. Have a great stay, say hi to Skinny Jimmy and Valerie at the watersports for me!
