Personally I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I can see how some people would feel some kind of way about it but in the big scheme of things it’s not a big deal. There's nothing wrong with what Shilo or what Sheduer did. A fashion show takes months to put on, and this info and acceptance were done months in advance. Yes, if another player asked for this opportunity, most coaches would allow it, especially if the kid is hard working and good. If the teammates have an issue, which they don't then that's crazy.
