Tapasya episode 52 :
This episode of Tapasya reveals how once pampered, little girls, have grown up into hardworking young ladies forming a delightful ensemble-SDN Octet. They came into SDN while they were in nursery school; they started their training together in SDN, learnt together, grew up together, developing a strong binding; their unwavering togetherness through time gives them strength and motivation; and unitedly they grow, nourishing each other.
As always, this group too had many students come in and go but these 8 were fortunate to stay throughout, learning, practising and exploring the divine art to become acclaimed representatives of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.
Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.
The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.
Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

Sheelaa Unni Krishnan, We Congratulate You and Your Devoted "Sree Dhevi Nirudhyaalayam" for presenting this "Thapasyaa Adhyaayam" This has significance to us today, as we are observing our "Vairam Sishyargall" whose birth day is today! Since today is our Graduation Day & Observance Week prior to "Vijaya Dhasami". So these Kids' Birth Days are significant! Under our Peraasaan, in His Guru Kulam, we instill very rigorous and grueling regimen of "Life Style Education" on all possible departments. I find only six or seven girls in every dance. Who is the eighth dancer whom I am missing? A short and sweet documentary on the evolution of these promising young artists. I am sure this will inspire the other youngsters and motivate them to work harder. As the saying goes" There is no Gain without any Pain. Namasthe Amma. We appreciate your close observation 🙏🏽 In fact there are 10 in this group - 1. Harinipriya, 2. Nishkala, 3. Sai Smriti, 4. Vishwashree, 5. Lakshitha, 6. Krithika, 7. Sahana, 8. Meghna Unni, 9. Jayashri and Sapta rishi. Though they are 10, (at times even Amrithevarshini and Rakshana Sri join) somehow they mostly performed as a group of 8, with Krithika / Rishi / Jayasri / Sahana joining in and out, owing to the given situations. That is why, we always consider them as group of 8, SDN Octet 😌
