@@ceejay75 one reason it flopped. Was that the British Director was a bit of crotchety depressed prone guy thought it was his way or no way and would not entertain any ideas from the American contingent of the film crew to jazz the film up a bit that would appeal to audiences. As a result of this the Americans including Tanya Roberts did not really get on very well with the British director and blamed him when the film bombed at the box office. Yes I can see it should have done better given you have gorgous Tanya Roberts, a terrific very 80s orchestral-synthesiser film score which should have won an award and skillfull and colourful cinematography which deserved an award too. So yes it looks like the Directory screwed up a bit and should take some responsibility why the movie bombed. But I saw the film and thought it alright. But I understand now why when mostly Americans make films or tv shows they are more popular with audiences worldwide than when it made mostly with Brits. Americans add that extra pizzaz and flamboyance that Brits while they are very talented just don't have.

I've finally found this movie's name! It took me prob over 30 years. I watched it as a little girl and I loved it so much. Then it got forgotten and I couldn't find anything on the internet until a couple months ago. I only remembered how she called elephants by touching her forehead and the music. But the music in my head for some reason was Chariots of Fire. Hearing it now it slightly resembles it. I used to play in nature pretending that I was also a girl who was growing up in the wild and communicating with animals :D. I'll find time to watch it again!
