Forget your charger? Think of how many people leave chargers behind in their rooms when they checkout. Now go to the front desk and say that you left your charger behind the last time you were there and they'll bring out a box of them from their lost and found and let you retrieve "your" charger. Problem solved.

I use to work as a night auditor at a hotel and yes we literally had several boxes of charges and other cables. I honestly tried to give them all away and came back the next night to find that we literally had twice as many as the night before. It’s magic they duplicate themselves lol

Tip: eat yr share of snacks from mini fridge REPLACE AND REFILL the eaten items so as not to be charged, since these snacks are grab bag size, you will use the extras (from Costco or Sam's) as food for the travel back home. But if you are on a boat or overseas where these items can't be purchased locally then you should have a budget saved up to just pay the huge costs or be smart and avoid it altogether. 💙 Hugs from 💙 Colorado 💙 💘 💙

I used to pack for every imagined situation in which I might need to wear or use something and then didn’t end up using even half of it and often picked on the same outfits. So now I just pack 4 or 5 outfits, some pyjamas and shoes that’ll work with any outfit and that’s that…..and if I need to have something washed in between I do. I find it so much better and if worse came to worse and I needed something different to wear or some other thing I’d just go buy it….and I’ve never actually had that happen yet. It’s so much better packing light….and far less work before and after the trip. Unless you’re going somewhere really remote you can get any emergency things that may come up wherever you’re vacationing. Packing lighter is definitely my preferred way to travel now.

Hi Sue from Shropshire UK here Pozeath in Cornwall Ialways take too much luggage brvause in UK, it can go from 25C to 10C with rain, within 48 hours!!! To beach, disposable barbeque !! Never plan eating on hols, love to eat sea food freshly caught that morning, lobster and crab in particular .

Well, at 50 years old, I have nothing to add on vacations as I have never taken one. Why waste the money I work so hard for to go get exhausted working so hard at "resting" and "relaxing" so far from home, when I just want to be in the home I leave every day to go to work? Bear with me as I give my 2c on this- The feeling you get when you see the Grand Canyons/the Glaciers in GNP/Niagra Falls/the Muir Woods..etc is indescribable. It is as close as it gets to an outer body experience. You're left speechless as you consume the sights and often wonder if what you're looking at is fake. You genuinely wonder about your place in the universe and how these wonders have existed waaay before you were born and will continue to exist waaaaay after you've gone. It is in these rare moments when I/we are actually at peace. Memories from those trips keep me going even when times are tough. Highly recommend traveling/taking vacations.

I never pack a toothbrush. You can buy a cheap one anywhere, when you get there. The same with toothpaste, mouthwash & most toiletries. Then you throw them away, before going home. Don’t waste space in those items easily acquired & replaced
