I love your videos, because they show the real side of farming whether it is sheep or cows or goats life still happens, some of it hilarious and some very sad, like when you loose poor little lambies, or when you have to sell them, your in this for making a living for your family, because its what you love to do, and you really have to love it, because there are hardships involved, like when you have a bad lambing season, or when your animals become sick or are attacked by predators, including dogs. Its a gamble, and if you didn't love being a shepard you wouldnt be one. My dad was a farmer, I helped him because I was the only one who would help him, I have helped deliver goats, and bottle fed goats, cows, we also raised rabbits and chickens, we had dogs for hunting, and milked the animals that needed milking, aand made our own butter, we also raised our own vegetables and canned them for the winter. my dad also had a job outside of the farm, there has to be a love for it, my dad loved it. So did i, my mother and sister never helped, they both hated farm life, except for the gardening, and canning, i did it all with my Dad, and still helped can in the fall. My sister and mom worked in the garden also but they hated everything else about farming. My point is dont let those people who put you down, make you upset or mad, they aren't worth your time, keep doing what your doing and live your life the way you choose. Much love to you and your wife and children your raising your children to love farming and they will thank you in the end. I thank my Daddy for raising me up to love farming, and the animals especially loving the animals that we kept for our consumption, my dad raised these animals with love, you will find that if you treat your animals with love, the meat taste so much better, because they are loved they arent stressed, they know you will feed them, and take care of them, I realize that your farming is much more on scope of a large herd, and you cant treat the animals with as much love, but you know, they still a taken very good care of.
@BirdehTko6 ай бұрын
Strip grazing the singles is always a good way to limit their intake once you’ve scanned, here in NZ we do that during winter but usually on winter feed like swedes for example, but grass would work in your application so they get a good fresh bite everyday, but not enough to create huge lambs that give lambing problems during spring Just a little idea to think about. Love the vids.

I indeed just have a wee look on google maps....it's so very lovely there. I'd love to see Scotland someday, but I doubt that will ever happen. :( But it's still beautiful to get to see through your channel, Cammy, so thank you for this opportunity. I have to say, little Jock is FEARLESS!!! lol Such a delight to watch him. My youngest grandchild is Pierce. Pierce Wilder, to be exact. his middle name is WIlder-named after my daughter's, and mine too, fav character from Little House on the Prairie, Almonzo Wilder. Pierce is 2.4 years old. He loves animals too but here in this area of New Jersey, he doesn't get to see many farm animals. He loves it when we go to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to Amish Country. He loves all the little petting zoos and seeing all the horses and buggies about. 💚 I think little Angus is just itching to get to run about more with his big brother Jock! So sweet, they are.💚💚 Again, I'm so happy the weather has finally gotten better there for all you sheep farmers. Blessings from the USA! ❤🤍💙
