Description (From Wikipedia) Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 - A Tight Squeeze, commonly known as Chapter One or abbreviated as CH1, is the first chapter for Poppy Playtime. It was released on October 13 on Steam. It revolves around the unamed player, an ex-employee of the toy manufacturing business Playtime Co. whose employees when missing abruptly one day, and receives a letter from an anonymous sender stating that 'we're still here'. This incites the protagonist to go back to the abandoned factory and investigate it to find out what is happening. Playtime Co. is a toy-making company, and the location where the game takes place. It was likely established in the 1950s, considering the aesthetic and lack of deeply advanced technology. However, the factory likely made its demise some time past the 80s depending. In this game, you play as an ex-employee of a company labelled "Playtime Co." Playtime Co. was once a corporate giant company that was in the toy manufacturing industry - that was until everybody inside the factory went missing. Now, years later, you return to the factory to investigate these unknown missing cases. One of the main mascots of PlayTime Co, he was one of the best sellers and found a place in the hearts of many children across the globe due to the fact that he was programmed to hug people, or because he was found to be cute. Nobody really knows what made him so appealing. However, due to experimentation on the toys at Playtime Co., a Huggy Wuggy seems to have come to life and gone rogue, killing everyone that crosses its path. The Player is the main protagonist of Poppy's Playtime and is the person you currently play as during Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze. There is not much to say about The Player since we never get an introduction to who they could be. However, there's a recurring theory that the live toys, such as the murderous HH, were actually human experiments. There's a theory that the player has ties to whoever was running the operation, or looked similar to them, which is why they were so ferociously attacked. This is not canon, and this may be disputed later on as more lore is revealed. Poppy Playtime is a minor character inside Chapter 1, and will most likely be an important character for the upcoming chapters. Poppy is a highly intelligent toy, she has the ability to properly converse with a child. She's also programmed to talk and communicate like a real little girl. Her first debut is in Chapter 1 and is featured inside the first VHS tape the player receives in the game, in which she appears in her own commercial tape. The Grab Pack was shown to have been used by factory workers to do heavy lifting and general tasks that would have been hard for the average man to do alone, or even in groups. Not to mention, that in the chase scene, the player used it to pull a huge box over an entrance to deter a murderous Huggy Wuggy, and instead destroys the entire mesh floor with the box and takes Huggy Wuggy down with it. This shows that it's incredibly powerful, managing to pull down a box like that with ease. In VHS 2, it's also shown that it can easily decapitate a person with relative ease. In VHS 2, because of this, it was strongly advised to use these with care for that very reason. Decapitating your coworker is not ideal. (Steam Page) You must stay alive in this horror/puzzle adventure. Try to survive the vengeful toys waiting for you in the abandoned toy factory. Use your GrabPack to hack electrical circuits or nab anything from afar. Explore the mysterious facility... and don't get caught.
The game has been a little controversial for accusations relating to NFTs, tracing renders, and of course being deemed as "money hungry" for selling tons of plushes on their website, amazon marketplace, and even making toys like Nightmare critters debatedly for the purpose of making money. Regardless, the games are still super high quality, and I still love talking about it and playing it!

One thing not many people are mentioning is The Doctor’s death. We literally just press a button and they die, it isn’t satisfying, it’s really abrupt, and I genuinely didn’t know I killed him until I heard his scream. The other chapters have the enemy being crushed or stabbed, this death just didn’t feel right. Not to mention that the doctor dies when there is still over half an hour left of the game.

One thing that really sucked was that safe heaven felt so dam dry and boring. You couldn't talk to any of the npcs EVEN when poppy herself told you to talk to them before you leave. It made the lore around safe heaven and poppy's background so much more boring and dull.

@waffledog3709 you're joking...that would have genuinely elevated that chapter--10 fold. I was hoping that a lot of the toys would have been voiced by children, teens, or young adults. Too make me sympathize more with their circumstances. But hardly any of them wore voiced at all. This, combined with side quest, would have made safe heaven a peak moment throughout the entire poppy playtime chapters.

Chapter 4 is the definition of panic. After the director left with the rest of his team since Mob Entertainment treated them poorly, the remaining developpers have scrambled to try to save the chapter from being a complete disaster since there is no clear creative direction. From what I have saw, they (mostly) succeeded their gamble but not without consequences (look how they massacred my boy Pianosaurus and the Nightmare Critters). Fortunately, there is Doey, Harley and (mostly again) Yarnaby. I greatly hope that Chapter 5 will be at least more fleshed out than Chapter 4, but I am still worried.

Pianosaurus should've been the 'Miss Delight' of chapter 4. Have him his own section, teasing him a couple of times before he makes his grand appearance in a scripted chase scene or a mini boss fight, and when he was about to kill you, have Doey swoop in to save you.

Personally, I was expecting a point in which the player would have to deal with both Pianosaurus and Yarnaby. I wasn't expecting him to get killed off that quick, though. Even if I do like the fact Pianosaurus's death played into showing just how powerful Doey is.

I was hoping that pianosaurus and yarnaby would be working togehter as 2 free roaming A.I. enemies. I think it would've been better if they scrapped the nightmare critters. And just have those 2 terrorize us the whole chapter until we meet the doctor, and they'd tag team us.

One big and relatively simple change that would really help things is if they simply switched the Big Baba Chops with Pianosaurus. Like, full role trade-off. Baba Chops gets eaten by Doey, stuffing flying everywhere like a firework, and Pianosaurus chases us through those cage corridors and clambers through vents, hunting us down pac-man style.

I liked Chapter 4 more than Chapter 3 because of all the action in it and not much puzzles, but my biggest issue is that there wasn’t much horror buildup. In Chapter 3, you constantly saw Catnap roaming around, and it made you feel scared as the tension built throughout the chapter. In Chapter 4, there wasn’t as much of that. When Yarnabe appeared, it went straight into the action without any buildup. Also, if Harley’s boss fight with the minions had no music-just a silent ambient background-it would have been much scarier too.

I was mainly disappointed about Harley Sawyer. They showed him way too strong and smart but in the end we just had to run and shut his body parts. Considering he being very smart and evil, I thought the Harley Sawyer part would be much more scarier and darker.

I'm not sure if MOB's intentions was to make this chapter scary at all. Chapter 3 was scary. Miss Delight, Nightmare Huggy, the nightmare maze, distorted CatNap, DogDay being eaten within by the critters etc. Chapter 4? There was zero ounce of scariness. Nada. The Doctor felt a threatening at first but towards the end it felt lacklustre. Yarnaby was a glitchy mess. Piaonosaurus... yeah. Doey was prooobably the best? I liked Doey the most, as a character, but even his boss fight felt meh.

@ Maybe it’s just a personal preference but I like the quizzes more, Chapter 4’s fights were boring imo. Only one I found interesting was The Doctor’s final boss fight, those cloaked monitor heads moving around the maze, I liked it, but the rest was, again, lacklustre. More antagonists as you say but for what purpose? More does not equate to better quality. There are glitches of course, in Chapter 3 too, though I didn’t encounter one, but Yarnabye glitches were especially annoying

​@pannajohns5255The puzzles broke off the atmosphere of the game sometimes that was the problem in chapter 3, WAY too many puzzle. Chapter 2 was the perfect example of how to actually balance puzzles and the lore excellently. The lore seems to be good for chapter 4 but every monster was completely rushed, maybe except for doey but come on the doctor was way too rushed. I was so expecting a hardcore fight against the doctor and he just went off like... That.

Harley as a character worked great. His story being explained throughout the chapter was really good. I also have to mention his voice actor COOKED with him. My gripes with him are a bit more small though, like his "all seeing eye" not present at all except in one scene, and his fight and death feeling underwhelming.

Chapter 3 is so far the best chapter in my opinion. Chapter 4 completely disappointed me. Everything was all over the place from characters, glitches and gameplay. Like when KZbinrs played Chapter 3 the day it released, I watched their playthrough so many times. But when KZbinrs did playthroughs of Chapter 4, I just didn't want to watch them again because I instantly got bored. The game is not worth playing over and over again like Chapter 3.

I liked the chapter, but here are my only issues. 1. Bugs (Will get fixed over a matter of time though :D) 2. Yarnabys death feels really weird. 3. Harley is literally just a voice most the time, I wish he had more visuals with the TV's in the trailer and when you first meet him in the cell. He also didn't even have that main body that was teased at. 4. Doing my boy pianosauras dirty. 5. Some parts feeling rushed and others feeling so dragged out I aged 10 years.

I've created a theory that the doctor told the prototype to create the self destruct button so player could kill him. I mean, prototype needed player to get the Omni hand in order to play out his part of the plan. The doctor was probably tired of living in an abandoned factory and wanted to have some fun with the player before dying

I feel like The Doctor was hyped up before and throughout the chapter as this All-Seeing All-Knowing Nightmare Entity, but all he really did was open a few doors for monsters to chase the players through, speak in a menacing and scary way, reveal some interesting (yet still somewhat flat) information through documents and tapes, and then die. There was a lot of potential for the man that spear-headed the creation of ALL of the toys, the one that worked with THE biggest and most mysterious antagonist of the ENTIRE game, the one who’s mind was SO VALUABLE that the other scientists turned him into an immortal computer to comb through his mind, and the one that every character feared for so many reasons. I feel like in the game, he was barely seen given his grand importance. I would’ve loved to hear more characters vocalize how he’s affected them, to hear more tapes of him actually talking to the toys or the children that he put into them, or even just have him show up in more creepy ways than a few audio clips and a final chase. As for Pianosaurus and the rest of the chapter, I don’t have much more to say than what others have already said. Doey was fantastic and should’ve been shown off more, Poppy’s lack of understanding towards the other toys due to her isolation from them for so long should’ve been slightly more highlighted, there could have been more interesting gameplay-content additions, and overall; the game devs should have had more time to polish the chapter. I’m hoping that the devs really do learn from this chapter, because a game and a story like this has so so SO much potential for something that could be talked about for years after its release. It has the makings of greatness, it just has to be seen as such and truly tended to. I look forward to what they come up with next.

For lore reasons, I understand why Sawyer didn’t have his robot body like in the trailer. Leith turned him into a brain in a jar and forced him to obey, but I still would have liked to see him in his robot body. I think the best thing Mob can do right now is a sort of free DLC for chapter 4 that revamps Sawyer and gives Pianosaurus a proper boss fight. Like maybe having Sawyers physical body in the game this time

a criticism i have not just for chapter 4, but for the whole game itself is how they treat the toys. Honestly the trailers and marketing almost felt they were advertising the concept ideas/art of Chapter 4, and not really the chapter 4's content itself from showing off Pianosaurus, the Doctor Sawyers robot form, nightmare critters and Yarnaby it felt like these characters were made in concept, but they never really got fleshed out for the full finished chapter, but instead of advertising these character as they are in the game, they chose to rather advertise you the concept of the characters. Which would lead viewers in trying to figure out who they are, what influence they would have in the story, and coming up with their own idea on how this chapter is going to be rather than them showing you what its going to be. Obviously this makes sense to avoid spoilers, but if you dont have enough content to show off that arent spoilers, and rather showing off concepts, then thats an issue you need to solve by fleshing out the chapter more. This ends up creating alot of unintentional hype and speculations, ideas theories and more that the chapter wouldnt be able to deliver as it wasnt what they advertised Which leads to disappointment, expectations being replaced with underwhelming executions, and worse of all showing what potential the chapter could have when it couldve expanded on the concepts they showed

Am I the only one who thinks the Doctor isn't dead and will probably come back in some form in Chapter 5? Some of his dialogue, especially his nonchalant tone as you destroy his body parts, the "I'll bury myself deeper" line during his boss fight, and his constant taunts up until the end that what we're doing doesn't matter imply to me that he had a backup plan in case his body parts were in danger. Given the fact that he was directly working with the Prototype on something in the labs (almost certainly some form of immortality or maybe the ability to transfer bodies without losing yourself as the toys do), I'm willing to bet money on him showing up and surprising us in some form in Chapter 5. Granted, I could be wrong and he actually is dead (which would be super disappointing given how important to the entire story of the game Harley is), but I think we might be jumping the gun and declaring him dead too soon.

Personally, I don't find chapter 4 all that bad. It just felt a little rushed and the bugs and glitches really points that out. But I was happy with the new characters the chapter has shown. My only issue with this chapter is that I feel like the order of events should have been altered slightly. Doey (who is now one of my favorite characters from the franchise) should have been more of a "mini boss" fight, like with Yarnaby. Harley Sawyer is such a great antagonist for the game, with the ARG and the trailers having portrayed him as one of the most heartless and fearsome foes we could ever face. In my opinion, he should have been our final antagonist and fighting him should have been a much more epic battle. Despite this, I still really enjoyed this chapter! And, as always, you've made another great video!

exactly my thoughts! since I can see how you can make it so; make it so the doctor does do something to really tick off Doey to where he'll blame "us" like still blow up the safe haven making Doey get mad at the player saying it was all okay before they were around. making in the end, the doctor laugh since he even said in game that if given the chance doey or poppy would kill us if that means getting what they wanted. then making us go get the omni hand which supposed I thought was like a better hand it could've been a taser to help tase the doctor since he's robotic so it's like you can have the hand but at a cost you have to defeat Yarnabe and the doctor since I don't get why Yarnabe just exploded into fire like that. I get they're over a hot pit but no fire came up or anything. it was a weird death.and with a terrible chase sequence then again recently learning that key dev members were fired and even the director decided to quit with them, yeah no wonder it sucks. because they probably have no idea what direction to take it in. that doesn't bod too well for the chapters ending. no wonder the other chapters were fantastic all the members were there. when you fire and quit more than halfway through where the final chapters are 4-5 and 4 turned into a boring story telling lousy chapter where I was bored watching half the time, yeah it's not a great sign.

@@Dave-gk6si I've paid quite a bit of attention to the game; doing so through means of gameplay, watching others' gameplay, and watching KZbinrs discuss Poppy Playtime's lore and their own opinions/speculations based on their own unique perspectives. With these unique perspectives, everyone is allowed to form their own conclusions. I absolutely adore Doey as a character, and he even made a wonderful antagonist for the game, considering his rather depressing history and the cause of his mood shifts. I just feel like Dr. Harley Sawyer would have made a much better main antagonist/final boss, due to how much we've learned of his maniacal and heartless nature, as well as how much he contributed to Playtime Co.'s horrendous actions (such as the "Bigger Bodies Initiative"). All of this is simply my opinion, as I've already mentioned above, and anyone is more than welcome to agree or disagree with my thoughts. 😊

I am personally don't think Chapter Four is bad, however. Not as good as it may have it been with extra time, and much compared to Chapter 3, it's not as scary, dark, graphically interesting, or does anything for it's characters, all of the characters are extremely underused, the lighting wasn't as good, abunch of bugs, and glitchy, animations extremely stiffed for stuff like the Doctors. Now, I like Chapter 4: Safe Haven, but, I have a few problems. 1: Pinaosaurus should’ve had more screen time. We do have to remember though Pinaosaurus wasn’t in the plot really, so you have to remember that. 2: The Doctor, like you said, was barely in the game. Same issue with the Nightmare Critters. I do think it was good to add the mini Baba Chops fight, however. 3: All the bigger bodies died to quickly not counting Doey. But, I do have good things to say. 1: Absolute great story line. Bringing Huggy back was a great idea and adds more lore to Poppy Playtime. 2: I like the idea of the Omni Hand. Even if it doesn’t do much, it’s still a great idea to add the game. 3: Yarnaby was very entertaining to watch when his AI isn’t bugging out. I watched Backseat Streams entire playthrough on stream and he manage to glitch yarnaby's chase sequence so yarnaby never died, and his music kept playing. Yarnaby also never spawned for him until the chase sequence. He also skipped the entire boss fight with the doctor, not having to do a single thing. He didn't even realized it was a boss fight until it was time to kill him. There was also a point where he accidentally (somehow??) managed to get back into the room with the 02 machine and the computer to put the code in, even though he had already done it. When he walked in, it autosaved and the game thought the doctor was alive again, even though he already defeated him. It was a rough stream.

Im surprised that they release the game so early in January, chapter 3 takes like 1 year to finish and get delayed and released in 2024 instead. what I heard which isn't great news if true, they fired some of the key dev team members and even the director quit hiself not a good look for chapter 5 which explains why this chapter kind of boring and just story telling based they probably had nothing to go by. they should've waited till the end of the game to disband seeing how that doesn't bode well for the end of Chapter 5 if they screw it up. because I know how mob games can be to push out things, if they're willing to just push out a game before even complete entirely and even getting rid of some things since they had plans to do more with the safe haven and even side quests for the toys but "took it out because not enough time" bs, that doesn't bode well for chapter 5 if they're will to scrap good things that could've happened because "oh I said it would be done now, so scrap this scrap that and we'll make the players be the beta testers" so glad I don't always buy these games not like I could anyway. not with my anxiety issues and panic attacks under stress. shame...was a good indie title too if they really got rid of the director which is the boss literally who would be the one to say things and got rid of the key members well I don't expect anything good anymore or much anymore out of them. Apologies for the long post. It felt like there was a lot of bloat with the amount of characters and elements in Ch4 to a point it feels like it might of been better to split this into 2 chapters: The Prison and Safe Heaven, or leave them out all together to give more focus in the one chapter. In a way ch4 feels rushed to fill in what they could, Pianosaurus suffered because of this as it was used to introduce Doey, which in turn clashed with Dr. Sawyer(To me should of been the main villain). Killing the Doctor by simply unplugging him was most unsatisfying. The Flare Hand should been used more as it seem it would been used to burn or blow up stuff. Was hopping it would be used in some way to defeat Yarnaby (Which I'm still confused on how he died). The Nightmare Critters felt like they didn't want to use the Smile Critters as enemies in this chapter even though we had the Ruined Critters in Ch3 (broken/corrupt version of Smile Critters), they felt tacked on without rhythm or reason. Having no cutouts as well was a bit of a downer too. Safe Heaven should of had more Toys than just Smile Critters. It would of been nice to see Bron, Bonzo Bunny, and Cat Bee. Was super happy to see Boogie Bot. Don't think Ch4 is bad but a lot of it felt forced or undercooked.

I truly think the devs should have kept Harley for the final chapter. It would make more sense for his bigger body to be in the labs and not the prison. He could be a really tough and unique boss to fight and it would make sense because he’s a doctor, of course he’s gonna be experienced in labs and science. Plus with how much of a scumbag Sawyer is, I feel like it would be more fitting for the Prototype himself to kill him ironically in the same place he was created. I think the tapes building up for him could’ve stayed in chapter 4 to build more excitement for chapter 5. He could’ve been a menace of a villain, but instead we got a doctor who barely does anything himself (which while fitting to his nature of using others for his own good still leaves much to be desired)

I feel like every bosses death lacked gratification, and honeslty was rather lame. Lore wise, it went harder than any other chapter, which is good. Bugs aside, the gameplay left much to be desired. Omni hand was only used to scan which was a letdown considering the awesome hands they created in the past. Sheep's right, the level of quality plateaus in this chapter but I can still somewhat appreciate it. I believe Mob will make chapter 5 redeem the lack of innovation that chapter 4 showcased! 😢🎉🎉

If I were able to fix/rework this chapter, I'd - save Pianosaurs for chapter 5 as the Prototype's backup security system or give him a proper chase then let Doey kill him - give more info on who Yarnaby was and have multiple chases with him with some revolving around stealth then have The Doctor be the one to kill him to mirror CatNap and the Prototype - give The Doctor more of a bigger presence and make his boss fight cooler. It’d be amazing if his minions had a weeping angel mechanic or work like the patients in Little Nightmares 2 since we have a flashlight - give the Nightmare Critters an actual presence and story! Cutouts and info on the actual toys would've been interesting. Maybe a Bigger Body (not a big version of their small form) of one of them (most likely Baba Chops) - have more puzzles like the ones in chapter 3 and try to include more clever puzzles surrounding the flare hand and omni hand Feel free to add your own ideas :)

chapter 3 still has my heart, it was more scary, more horror, better characters, creepy, disturbing and better environnement. I was really upset that the new monsters were not scary at all, there were more cute than scary, the doctor is just a braint which is really sad, i wanted a physical scary and disturbing form that would make him different from his minions. But i find the final boos cool and fun, but the ending was just a bunch of "new" things that were pretty obvious, ollie being the prototype and huggy wuggy's return. And one more thing, but its just my personal problem, huggy wuggy wasn't really different in his return, i wanted a more disturbing and scary form.

I honestly think it would have made more sense if the player got to see kissy in the very aftermath of being attacked, and then have Ollie ring to reveal himself as the prototype straight away at the beginning of this chapter, and have him say “oh this is what happens to your friends” sort of thing and then threaten to attack the safe haven so there was a continued tension throughout at the revelation that Ollie is the prototype and he’s watching and following us throughout the chapter and sending enemies our way. People already guessed that Ollie was the prototype when he got introduced, so dragging it on for the entire chapter 4 and having the reveal at the end felt underwhelming since people already kind of knew. If the revealed it at the start of this chapter, then it would make for a bigger threat throughout, otherwise the game felt very lacklustre and not as scary I think

I noticed something which many of the theorist are not talking about right now When we were fighting The Doctor and overloading the machine with the batteries the doctor said "I'm not afraid from those Elliot's machines" But the thing is how could elliot ludwig make those machines to sabotage the doctor's mainframe because he was already long gone Unless he transformed into something and only individual able to kill the doctor beside the player is the prototype so i think it is the indirect reference that Elliott is indeed the prototype.

I feel like the Doctor "boss battle/boss puzzle" should have been a bit bigger/more difficult, as it was teased in a way that made him look like the final battle, like Huggy, Mommy Longlegs, and Catnap before, as we hadn't had any reason to assume Doey would be the final boss up until that point, with only a few indicators that he's more unstable than he may seem. Catnap is the perfect example for this: his boss fight is like being a mouse trapped in a cage, whilst a terrible demon cat is stalking you and playing with your fear, whilst you struggle to find any way to escape or defend yourself... which perfectly fits the character as shown throughout the chapter. Doey also does this by showing his pain and weakness to being frozen, however I would have liked a bit more to do with the ice canisters, like using them to freeze waterpatches to cross gaps or something like that. Considering that the Dr is constantly acknowledged as being one of (if not) The smartest and/or craftier entities in the facility, it could have played with bigger puzzles, like with the switches directing power, with the "Eye in the Sky" searching for you, and/or the statues playing a more subtle but prominent role. An idea I have for such a fight: the arena would be like a maze split in either 2 or 4 sections(I'd go with 2), with 1 to 4 switches per section(let's go 3 each section), and some sections needing either the jump glove or grapple to access other sections (explained in greater detail below and/or in reply) You start by in a similar way to the fight already ingame: dr pulls the lever(Kronk) and you fall down into the dark labyrinth below. The arena has 2 sections, each with a battery locked behind a puzzle, and the walls of the arena are lined with the Dr's robots. These operate differently than the ones ingame: Some will jump out and grab the player (killing them with jumpscare) should they approach, unless 1 of one of 2 scenarios depending on phase: Phase 1: they will deactivate if they are shot with the fingergun. I know what you're thinking: then why shouldn't I just shoot them all, just to be safe? The kicker is: the ones that are "fake" have explosive fuel, and will detonate when shot(the Dr will tell you this in his opening monologue) They all look the same, with no immediate way to tell the difference... Now this part could go one of 3 ways: 1: The flashlight will reveal which are the real ones, as it causes their screens to flicker with static briefly(think Candlebearers from pressure) or 2: the real ones will just randomly glitch and/or twitch(think Good People from pressure) 3 don't need to be shot, but avoided(I prefer this one, no explosive gasoline needed). They mark dead ends to navigate the maze, and are revealed in the same way as option 1. I think this option is best. Next up, puzzle segment 1: direct power flow to fry one of the doctors' body parts and unlock the battery, which will be brought to the starting area to operate a lift, repeat on opposite side, which brings phase 2: The Eye in the sky is here, lighting up the arena. One of 2 choices I have, and maybe a combination. Both involve a battery destroying the last part of his body: Option 1: 4 total doors are open, which spawn the mini creatures to harass you in a similar manner to the beginning of the chapter, close and seal them to progress. Option 2: repurpose Pianosaurus(I prefer this one): Miniboss Time! What I have in mind is based on Monster Bendy's final fight from Bendy and the ink machine, as well as his ingame behavior and notes. The fight is split in 3: The boss: Pianosaurus attacks by charging at you very quickly in a straight line. Stunning him briefly when he hits a solid surface. This is telegraphed by his piano mouth lighting up and keys being played. Otherwise, he chases at moderate (slightly slower than Yarnaby. The goal of the battle is to get him to charge into three obstacles: Phase 1: lead him through the maze, shooting the tiny creatures that attempt to bite your ankles and get him to charge into a large pillar, which will fall down, making a ramp up to phase 2 and knocking out some of Pianosaurus's teeth. Phase 2: Duck and weave: Chase where you jump over and duck under boxes as he barrels towards you. Goal is to convince him to crash into a crate which contains a battery (and knocks out more teeth) and opens up the path forward. To do this, you jump glove of the box. While he's stunned, plug the battery into the nearby socket, which activates Phase 3's puzzle: Further up you climb to a round arena with a gaping hole in the center, with 3 hand swithes at different points. There are piles of boxes in this circular chase, which is faster than the prior one, and this time you have to switch between jump and grapple hands as you race over the piles of boxes. He'll get stunned for just a bit longer than necessary to complete a glove cycle, and he gets faster every glove pad activated. Once all 3 pads are activated, a grapple handle lovers above the pit, as Pianosaurus prepares one final charge. Grapple the beam and Pianosaurus will charge off the edge and fall to his death, breaking off his head, revealing the Battery used to fry Dr's body. Now to get that Omega glove, but as you do flex it's fingers, one of the Dr's robots (which he used as a last ditch resort to keep his consciousness alive, and thus is the Dr) appears behind you and grabs you, which initiates a quick-time kinda event that all the final bosses seem to have, where you plant the new hand on the new panel located on its chest, shutting it of, and ending the Dr's reign for good. Other than that, and the glitches, I think everything else was pretty well done, and the story/lore/world building was phenomenal!

The Nightmare Critters and Pianosaurus could've been in the game and worked well... With the right retooling. Pianosaurus could've been the replacement of Babachops' segment, have him be the boss and Harvey's second pet. While the Nightmare Critters could've just been planned concepts, have posters around the prison and have notes talking about their soon-to-be created Toy Line, but was stopped because of the Hour of Joy. If they wanted them to be in the game, you could've had a prototype big body Babachops in place of Pianosaurus and have him be killed by Doey instead.

Let's see how they make it up with Chapter 5! I actually hope the Prototype bringing back other main villains for a Boss Rush..! Mommy and CatNap being repaired like Huggy, and Yarnaby also returning since his body wasn't found.

bigger body mommy literally cant return, did you not notice that her body was torn in half ☠️ yarnaby has a chance to come back, catnap slim chance, if prototype unlocks the revival abilities of the poppy gel, doey also has a really solid chance to come back

Mommy and Catnap won't return since they got grinded and scoured. But Huggy survive because he just fell and his body acts as a cushion.

Their best bet forward is to work on ch 5 for 2 years, once ch 5 in in the polishing phase, have the other staff work on remaking the previous 4 chapters, like- Adding foreshadowing optional secrets in ch 1. Change Mommy's actions from her introduction to Statues where she's badly pretending to be nice up in the player's face to which allows you can optionally talk to her in the game station anytime before statues, making her more scary due to you knowing she wants to kill you, can kill you anytime she wants, but wants to watch you suffer. Ch 3 needs to give Catnap more screen time by having him be visible in Playcare on rooftops watching you and hiding when you notice him, focus the camra on him. Ch 4 needs to give Harley Sawyer more of his TV screens, at least one more gas section like in the Red Cell Block, and another phase to his boss fight, & maybe another yarnby section where you have many escape routes but Harley tells Yarnby your location every 30-60 seconds for a more intense section, and of course, GIVE PIANOSAURUS A PROPER STEALTH SECTION/BOSS FIGHT BEFORE KILLING HIM OFF. Aside from that they'll need to fix the UI like the inventory screens, & VHS tape outlines. Then they can release the Remakes every week before ch 5 release to built up hype.

I've created a theory that the doctor told the prototype to create the self destruct button so player could kill him. I mean, prototype needed player to get the Omni hand in order to play out his part of the plan. The doctor was probably tired of living in an abandoned factory and wanted to have some fun with the player before dying

I'm not as disappointed with the game as I am with the developers. They hyped the game up to such a degree that it couldn't possibly live up to expectations. Anyone remember that line "a meter is bigger than a centimeter?" Well, it turns out that metaphorical meter wasn't bigger than a centimeter. Rather than a new game, Chapter 4 feels more like an expansion of Chapter 3 (and the previous chapters, thanks to all the reused material from them). After what they did with the smiley critters in Chapter 3, I wasn't expecting much more from the nightmare critters and yet I still ended up disappointed with how little they did with them. And while everything related to Dougy was great, it can't make up for the disappointment of the other 3 promoted villains/enemies.
