This song always brought me memories when I was in High School. Before I graduated High School, I use to hug everyone there. Whenever it was a hello or just hanging out. I would always hug people because I was glad they were at the school. I was a really happy person and still am. After I graduated High School, everyone went their separate ways. Now I don't mind that they went their separate ways, I'm just glad they gave me great memories of High School. This song, reminds me of them. The "fireflies" are my friends and we are said "farewell" to eachother. They all thought me a lot of stuff and I won't forget that. I still miss my high school days, but I must move on. We all must move on.

I’ve had this track saved in a playlist for about 4 years now. I still come back and listen, when my room is dark and I’m lying in bed. All the fireflies, monochromatic yet splendiferous, all dancing before a backdrop of the Milky Way galaxy, while a symphony of crickets and katydids beautifully accompanied the wonderful light show, with a nearby whippoorwill trying to steal the show... Memories, wonderfully etched into my 14-year-old mind. Simply epic. Now I'm almost 50 and live in the city, but I still hold onto my childhood memories. I'm not sure what memories this song brings to you, but if it doesn't move you at all then you may not have yet truly experienced life. Life's too short. Unplug, go outside, and make some memories.

This song is bittersweet to me. My friend (who’s not my friend anymore, long story), first introduced me to this song and to Owl City when we were playing with Barbie dolls in her room. A misunderstanding happened between us when we were older, and instead of resolving the problem, we just stayed not-friends. Part of me is sad, b/c I liked hanging out with her, playing with her Barbie’s, playing on her PlayStation 3/4 (I forgot which one), and playing in the park behind our houses. But, the other part of me is a little glad. When we did play with each other, she always decided what we were going to play and our roles for whatever we were playing. But when I got to decide what we got to play and then change my mind a few minutes later, she would get upset with me (not mad, just a little annoyed that I changed my mind so quickly). TL;DR- This song reminds me of all the good times I had with a childhood friend. Looking back on our time being friends, I realize that we didn’t have a healthy friendship, we were having a power-struggle with what to play and what our roles were, and I liked her because of all the fancy stuff she had.

From 3:45 onward - being in the middle of circuitGrounds, as whole crowd sang along to the lyrics as he lowered the music, and then the visuals of dogs playing and a puppy running in slowmo at the drop at 4:30.
