Yeah, I could use one of those. Hate when my coffee gets cold too fast and I live in NY, so it can get cold very fast. I hate using microwaves too. Have seen studies done on plants using microwaved water and they all got sick. The control plants and the plants using naturally heated water did well, but the plants with microwave heated water got sick and eventually died. (The heated water samples were heated and then allowed to cool before watering the plants).

I would like to know more about walking while CC with the doggies. If something were to happen, would you just let the dogs go and draw? I don't CC while walking because of heavy winter clothing. Please link to the bag you use ❤

I wear a thigh bag when I CC walking my dogs.
@Platoon_GuideАй бұрын
I have two 30 pound dogs and I always carry when I walk them at 4am and 7pm. I hold a flashlight in my support hand. This time of the year I carry a G27 concealed OWB. Plan is to drop the leashes and go to work. The dogs are short enough that they won’t be a factor. Definitely create a plan and dry fire it at home.
@deucedeuce1572Ай бұрын
There are many good ways to carry in winter and with heavy clothing. Most concealed carriers would consider that a bonus. It's always so much easier to conceal a firearm with heavy clothing. Like @robing6977 was saying, there are thigh bags and belly bags (fanny packs). Some are made just for carrying too, so they have very fast deploy options for the draw. Most IWB and OWB holsters will work too if you can access the without having to unzip your outer jacket. Even shoulder holsters work well in that case. A good friend of mine (here in NY) mounted a holster to the inside of his heavy jacket pocket and that works great. He can draw from that much faster than most people can draw from AIWB location with heavy clothing. The fanny pack holsters are a good, quick way to draw too. They have quick release one's with an instant zipper release that you pull on and it opens the holster in like 1/4 second. The "zipper" on some of them is more like the zipper on a zip-lock baggie, so it opens very fast. Then the gun is there (open) to draw at a very high speed... so you can draw just as fast as if you were carrying AIWB with normal clothing on. There are a ton of great options to choose from.

You plan to do a Q&A with Mac in this series? I'm curious about your boys. I assume that Mac purposely educates and trains his boys about firearm use and safety. Do they take to it well? Does one enjoy it more than the other? I'm curious not only because of your boys, but because of a couple of boys in the church I'm a member of. The boys are fraternal twins (10 yo), sons of the pastor of my church. Their father is a Iraqi war veteran, was a second lieutenant. (I never call him "pastor." Instead, I call him "LT.") He was injured in combat, and had brain damage. He had to go through speech therapy. The fact that he preaches every Sunday is something of a not so minor miracle. Anyway, his twin boys have both been trained in firearm safety and shoot, but Malachi seems to be less keen on guns than his brother Noah. LT calls Noah his "little armorer." This family has been to our house several times, and they both are interested in my modest arsenal, not the least of which because I have different firearms. Though I carry a sub-compact semi-auto pistol as my EDC, I'm an old fool (71) from the old school, and have revolvers, a lever action Henry and a Bond Arms derringer as my snake gun. Because I enjoy seeing the next generation being raised right, I thought about your family and what firearms training and safety looks like for your boys.
@deucedeuce1572Ай бұрын
Nice. I love checking out the less common guns. I still love Glocks, Hellcats, SIGs and other semi-auto handguns... but especially love the less common guns. When I have a collection, I hope to have enough semi-auto's for self defense, so I can then start collecting the more unusual guns without feeling guilty.

i like the burner you have in the other room. very cool. yup, so calories are important'ish, but its also the quality of the INPUT to get OUTPUT. like the computer term, garbage in garbage out right. so, carbs, they say thou must each carbs for energy, well, yes and no. your body can get energy from protein and the glucose stored in muscle fiber. its why keto works for energy, caveman with big stick wants to whack deer on head. so he/she is running around looking for protein = meat. not donuts, chips, veg or fruit. the later, kinda. mostly humans are designed around meat. plus the ability to go DAYS without eating and still running around with the big stick to whack a deer with it. i am type II and dont eat much in the way of carbs or sugar. i work in the yard, walk over a mile a day, and yes, total lack of carb intake vs exercise. well, thats on over simplification of it all. i need to learn a lot more. there are a few other apps that my ex and kid use to monitor food intake. i just eat food when i am hungry and avoid anything with double digit sugar or carbs.
