Great Demonstration! Now would you take that demonstration and give us a slow Mo voiceover to explain exactly what you’re doing, what’s going on and why? A big thank you!

If you a serious looper then 100% there’s cheaper alternatives to everything you can buy. This thing is built like a tank and Sheeran Loopers are really taking an interest in its users and listening so it’s only going to get better

Hi, may ask you a question about the workflow? Is it possible to play the guitar and sing at the same time and record the guitar only to loop track 1 and vocals only to loop track 2 simultaniously? And then I could mute only the vocals on track 2 so that the guitar would still be playing on track 1? I've seen in the manual that I could route the inputs in a way that the guitar goes to loop track1 and the mic goes to loop track 2, but the manual is not really clear whether I can record both sources to individual loop tracks at the same time. Since we're looping, too, I'm looking for a hardware looper that allows me to record loops from different sources all at the same time to individual loop tracks. Great cover, by the way, subbed for more.
@alexbirtwell7 ай бұрын
So point 1 - currently not (I think) but I believe this is being addressed in the firmware I have delved too much on this but currently with the default settings when an input is disabled for a track it also doesn't output through chain, this works on the looperboard though in the way you've described, there maybe a setting to tweak this but I can't find it yet. I've requested the ability to toggle inputs on a footswitch in a future firmware. Currently though the only or easy way to do this is to use an ABY foot switch on your mic with an output going to your PA and the other to your looper. Point 2 - multi track recording - Ive used most leading hardware loopers on the market and sadly I've never seen this as an option I think you may need to look at an ableton computer setup with a midi footswitch as your pedal to achieve something like this

@@alexbirtwell Thank you for the quick reply. Both point 1 and 2 were meant to be the same, sorry if I wasn't clear with how I phrased it. It was about being able to record loops of multiple instruments at the same time to individual tracks. Left hand plays keyboard 1 which is going into input 1 and input 1 only goes to loop track 1, right hand plays keyboard 2 which is plugged into input 2 and routed to loop track 2. So now if I play a melody with both hands and record a loop, I still have both instruments separated and full control of them since they are on different loop tracks. Yeah, so far I've only been able to achieve that by using a software solution like Ableton or Loopy Pro...or by having more than one hardware looper. I was hoping that this new looper would make it possible, since their website says that in 'Free Mode' you "can record, overdub, or play all looper tracks simultaneously." But I've not seen anyone actually do that in practice and the wording is not really clear. Can I only "play" all tracks simultaneously or also "record/overdub" all tracks simultaneously? Anyways, thank you for your answer, much appreciated.
@alexbirtwell7 ай бұрын
@@mindsetoff no worries. Just tried in free mode and nope the moment you arm the next track it dubs on that one and stop the previous recording track

@@alexbirtwell Thank you so much for trying it out. That's a bummer, I was hoping that this looper would actually take it to the next level. Ah well, maybe in the future.

Is there something I would like to know...does the Sheeran Looper Any more effects for voice? Maybe reverb, delays? Thanks

it does it has loads of fx but at the minute they can only applied at track level, pre or post. not a global input fx route but that is coming apparently

wow! i’m so excited after seeing all these demos. how do you personally hear the loop output while playing? do you have a floor monitor? i was thinking of getting in ears to avoid feedback into the vocal mic
@alexbirtwell8 ай бұрын
It's all about mic placement. Even live at gigs you don't need to have in ears I don't think as I've looped with them for many years and not had any issues but in ears are never a bad thing so it's all about what works best for you

Hey so this loop has multiple loop lengths right? I see the first loop is like 1 bar.
@alexbirtwell7 ай бұрын
Yeah it's in Sync mode. This means if you record 2 bars on your first track, each subsequent track can be made up as any division of that is 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12. Multi mode (eds default) are all the same length

Thank you ❤ I'm use to using the looperboard by headrush and I'll be honest the firmware isn't quite there yet to be a worthy replacement for me, it's Missing customisation for the workflow and assigning fx currently, however speaking to the team it is imminently coming and they are taking onboard the feedback as they do see this as becoming the number 1 looper on the market. Hardware wise this thing is so well built and the foot switches feel great to use when compared to the boss or the looperboard!
