Lots of happy memories of family days out to Sheerness when i was a young lad. Mum always did a picnic incl. jars of home made pickles. Ended up with Dad buying a brand new bungalow on Drakes Ave. Minster ( cost £450 ) Thanks for the memories Graham.

I remember the old red sea mine with the slot in - for the RNLI. The little funfair brings back a few memories. Well done getting the 8 mm film over to digital. Regards Peter

Born there in 1951 and returned several times for holidays, remember the funfare and penny arcade, the swimming baths and the raft that was chained to the beach, my brothers used to swim out to it but I was too young nice to look back, thanks for posting 👍

Bought up on the island. From about 1950 to 1971. This brings back many memories, but I don't remember the speedboats at that time. Funny I missed them!
