Africa
Ukujabula kwakho
Kushukuma zonk'izizwe
Ay, ukugiya kwakho
Kujabulisa zonk'izintaba
Giya aw woza
Giya woza
Yawuz'umoya eshe woza
Giya woza (Aha-ha-ha)
Giya woza, yawuz'umoya (Ha-ha-ha he weno ku hluvukile ka zet)
Giya woza
This is our kind of rhythm in Africa
We send our messages through music
Is our tradition in Africa
This is our kind of rhythm in Africa
We send our messages through music
Is our tradition in Africa
Come on, come on, let's sing together now
Aha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha he weno ku hluvukile ka zet
Aha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha he weno ku hluvukile ka zet
Eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh
(Oh yes) Is nice
(Oh yes) So nice
Eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh
(Oh yes) Do it again
(Oh yes) Is so sweet
Eeh, eeh, eeh, eeh
(Oh yes) Kwa nandika
(Oh yes) Is nice, nice
Aha-ha-ha, ha-ha-ha he weno ku hluvukile ka zet
Hayi ku hluvukile ka hina n'wina

I am from Morocco. Despite the distance from South Africa, music remains the best expression of language, belonging and the closeness of peoples. This song has a history for me when I was fifteen years old. It ranked first for several weeks in the top10 for the best song. My greetings to every African who loves peace.

Iam Ugandan by birth now in Maryland-USA but I find myself playing all these 90s and 80s songs in my car because it is the music that raised us..I remember as kids in our village sitting to watch our black and white tiny TV with a show called "Music Africa" by Mike Makamazibu and this song got locked in my brain because I didn't know the title. One day when I typed Yvone Chaka Chaka's umqomboti in my KZbin music playlist, this song was the second on play..As I talk I am watching the video on KZbin in my living room😅. My life is all about old school music😊

Who is still listening to my late father's favourite? It reminds me when my father used to come from SA to Namibia 🇳🇦 land of the brave and when he jumps out of his truck he would begin to dance to that music playing in the truck and distribute braai packs to the whole village houses. They would come old and young gather just to dance to His traditional music, what a tremendous experience I have ever had in 1996, truly there is life in happiness whether poor or rich we all need happiness one way or another. And his legancy still prevails through me. This is my style and his song always when I go home.

I have always enjoyed songs by the mahotella queens since the 1970's and yet I don't understand a word of zulu. One of my favourite songs by the group was called Mafehlefehle (I assume that's the correct spelling). I have tried to get it on youtube but all in vain. Could someone re-download this song on youtube so I access it?

It's like it's become my anthem. Lmao!! 😄😆 I'd pay good money to see any of the unused footage that didn't make it into the final video. If anyone has it they've got a real treasure on their hands.
