dont forget the cold chisel + bench vise, never had to use it, but it sure is great to know about it for when you do need it

That cold chisel will get the job done! So true

Thanks for the video Spencer! On the topic of ferrous metals, the term comes from alloys that have a high iron content. The way to remember it is that the chemical symbol for iron is Fe, hence (Fe)rrous metals. And you're right, the high iron content reacts to magnetic fields.
@metaspencer3 жыл бұрын
Ya know, it would have taken me another decade to put that together: haven't thought much about Fe as a symbol in a good long time. It's a good one. Thanks for that man, and thanks for checking out the video

OK, for once I didnt leave one of your showdowns feeling like i needed a tool run. I have a full metal shop in basement. used to fabricate Japanese and Norse helms for histroical societies. SO for me..the sheet metal show down goes to....THE BEVERLY SHEAR! couldnt live without it. though...PLasma is invaluable in many situations also

"So whaddya make in the basement?" "Oh ya know, Norse helms for historical societies." Love that. I came very close to scoring an old shear on Craigslist, but the deal fell through. They look awesome. Now get back to that helm making :)

Yes my friend... We all love sheet metal cutters... But... Let's get that 2511 T fire up.. I'm starting to get a twitch here ... I hope there's some 🎄 jobs coming up 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@metaspencer3 жыл бұрын
haha! ya know the sad truth is that the 2511 is out there in the cold at this moment. I really oughta bring it in for a spa day. Ya know, a full overhaul and tune. -2 f here today, but I'd still rather be high in a tree. good to hear from ya man

I have the tried and tried stop and go light set. Left hand straight right hand then for the amount of cutting I do I've owned them for the last 30 years probably and are so like new
@metaspencer3 жыл бұрын
30 years is a good start -- just watch, you'll find yourself cuttin' the heck out of some sheet metal before you know it. :)
