Protest has always been an under recognized band imo. They have always been a musically advanced band with crazy talented guys. Luke, and Tim for thatatter, can hang with just about anybody talent wise but I've never seen them in any lists of great players.

Sad that Luke doesn't play live anymore because it's cool to see your guitar heroes in the flesh. But there's something about him just being home smashing out new chunes for the band that sits perfect with me.

Do you know why he doesn't play live anymore?
@user-lq4xh6mo8o
@user-lq4xh6mo8o 7 ай бұрын
@@jp2503 he put out a statement a while back saying he just didn't enjoy it like he used to, or something along those lines.

@@user-lq4xh6mo8o Touring sounds very rough. I don't blame him of getting tired of it after such a long time. Probably wants to be home with his family and friends, etc.

@@jp2503 more likely touring doesn’t pay that much anymore, compared to his business where he probably earns more. He “happens”to be the owner of Sheet Happens. 😅

@@jenricgonzales Oh that is cool. I didn't know that he owned Sheet Happens. I have purchased from them a few times. I guess that is why there are so many Protest vinyl reprints available on there compared to other bands.

Didn't know you had Colors II in the catalogue! I've been listening to it non-stop since it came out (except when I take PTH breaks of course). Off to buy it right now so I can stare at the tab pages with a guitar in my hands and imagine myself being able to play anything at all in there. Also, going to miss you on tour man. Mike too. No boos here, just love for sticking with the writing. Wouldn't be PTH without it. 🤘

Dude. He said he’s been listening to The Odyssey recently! Michael Romeo top 3 favorite guitarists for me. Huge influence on my own playing including Luke. Many a song was learned from that album as a teen.

Love the video and the free tab! Also, big fan of the new email newsletter thingy. And I strongly agree that we all need a Sikth Death of a Dead Day tab book!

Amazing album! I learned the song (and every other from Fortress) and it's some of the most fun music a guitarist can play. It plays on NHL09 too and was the only thing on TV besides cops or trailer park boys in my college dorm

3:21 Man i second that! We wouldn't have Protest, Periphery and so many other bands without Sikth. Listen to "Flogging the Horses" and you'll immediately hear their influence on PTH.

Awww yeah! Thanks for all the hard work boss, the products SHP puts out are top shelf. Keep up the great work! p.s. I would love SHP to put out some playthrough vids or more just like this from artists you SHP works with on the reg.

We’re going to be putting these out a lot more regularly now that touring is back in full swing. Since we are able to get people into the office while they are in town.

I learned the first 2 minutes of the song so far. I’m surprisingly keeping up with the riffs individually somewhat, but dear god playing all of it in one shot it feels like my hands are gonna fall off, idk how you guys have that much stamina lol

Unfortunately transcribing another instrument is very expensive so to be able to include we would need to raise the price of the book by a lot.
