8bit and 16bit music pretty much required it, that's why 80's and 90's Nintendo soundtracks are the best When you only have 4 tracks and 2 sounds, you have to put melody everywhere Probably why Nintendo are the only studio that make consistently memorable soundtracks because Western (especially modern) developers are scoring a movie, whereas Nintendo score experiences

The Super Nintendo (and so many of its games) showed what I believe to be one of the greatest technological advancements in history, so much of the graphics, audio, gameplay and controls were so much of an improvement over the console that released less than a decade prior. Apologies for such a long comment, but simply put, I would love to see more music based on that from Super Mario World (Yoshi’s Island couldn’t hurt either)
